Hello Gentlemen!

I found that link at SimHQ Forum today.
It looks nice and seems to cover Grand Fleet and Hochsee Flotte around WW1.

But, no detailed information is available.

Does somebody have some information on this project?

Kind Regards,:wiggle:

Hi Talos,

This looks like a group of people I had some email discussions with a couple of years ago.
From memory I will tell you what I can.

A fella started off making WW1 ships of high definition using a heavy weight 3D cad program, he was later joined by a few others and they thought it might be a good idea to have a naval sim to sail the models in. So while he tried to make the sim the others continued to make the models.
I was invited to join the group, but had to refuse, I couldn't afford the cad or the time. But I did give a little advice when asked, mainly about the fps v polys (which by flightsim standards was horrendous).
Then I lost touch with them and the site went off-line.
Since reading this thread I have been trying to find the old emails but looking for about 6 out of over 7000 without a name to go by is a bit difficult.:costumes:
Looking at the site and the line version of their model it looks like they have solved their poly problem though....good luck to them.

Hi Collin,

Thank you for your information.
I understand that a group of naval enthusiasts are trying to make a new WWI Naval Game step by step.

I really hope they would not follow the sad example of "Target for Tonight", which succumbed to one of the pit holes such a group of people tend to get in. It should be not a business, but non-profit enterprises have their own difficulties.

If this project materialises, it must set another standard for WWI Naval Sim. I will try to follow its developments carefully.
