For those of you in the UK the next set of Timewatch series have a nautical flavour.

Thanks, Collin!

Sounds too good............
If I were in U.K., deep sigh.........:banghead:

I know very well the quality of some programmes offered by BBC2 or Channel 4 especially on historical subjects.

Well, I pray the desitiny once again brings me back to England where Royal Navy is the seniour service.

Kind Regards,:wiggle:

The program this evening was advertised as a "dramatised" historical event. That advert almost made me miss a very good program indeed.
Langsdorf came across even better than Peter Finch portrayed him in the film.
Thanks for reminding us Collin!

I hate it when they do that Togo. While this programme refrained from some of the silly "might have been said/done" moments, the researchers and editors still insisted in sticking in the same old shots of big guns going off to "sex" it up for the unknowing.

annoyed from Romford.:costumes:

Yes, did you notice the Nelson/Rodney + lots of 15 inchers and smaller blasting away too, I'm sure some were from 1914-18.

BTW to change the subject, what would you do about a developer putting up office blocks in your area, all named after aircraft, and hanging a large sign on the front of one, "HAMPDON".:censored:

Togo....I'm sure my explosive reply would be considered an act of terrorism by the Powers That Be and their bloody lawyers, so I shall refrain.:costumes:

Back to Timewatch.....

Yep, Nelson class and KGV plus a quicky of some American blasting away, there was at least one WW1 destroyer getting sunk and the Barham explosion chucked in for good measure.
All previously shown on other progs dating back to the old "War at Sea" series shown in the late 50's early 60's.
Thankfully they didn't get the excuse to throw in the Arizona explosion or I'm sure that would have appeared. I must have that on a dozen programs I have on video.:banghead:
