Hi all,
Smart defrag by Iobit.Does everything that those payware programs do,But and it's a BIG but it is free.Get it at:

Advanced System Care free is very good as well.

I have only used one payware in my life...It was DiskTrik...I will never use it again..It destroyed a HDD of mine...

Most use O&O payware

I use IOBIT freeware and swear by it..After the first defragg I ALWAYS use the feature it has *Deep Optmize* and have very fast load times and never a problem...Just don't let it load on boot and run in the back ground..I run it after every few hours of flight...

FSX loves to toss its stuff around

Ultimate Defrag. I tried them all before using this and it offered the most comprehensive options and did the best job, I've never had a hiccup with it.

I've been using Defraggler for a while now, and it does a very good job.

Like all of the Piriform software, it installs/uninstalls easily, and is not 'bloatware' like some of these types of programs.

And best of all, it's free!

I just grabbed the IOBIT and used it on my work laptop. Looks good! Thanks harleyman!

I'll try it at home as my fsx is taking ages to load lately. This must be the issue but I was avoiding using the windows option. This will work nicely I guess.

I use both IOBIT's Smart Defrag and O & O Pro 11 for Vista 64-Bit.

I already had Smart Defrag, but on a recommendation here I got IOBIT's Advanced SystemCare Free: http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html

It's a whale of a freeware program, try it, you'll like it. Use it with Smart Defrag or O & O. I use Smart Defrag for fast defragging or STEALTH MODE in O & O and run a full O & O Defrag once a month while I sleep at night.

Currently using diskkeeper ... have had it for many a year ... back when my system was running NT ... Diskkeeper claimed to be the only defragment utility
