OT; Control/Alt/Delete on a Mac?

Hey guys,

Silly question here.. What is 'Control Alt Delete' on a Mac?

Had my first program freeze up on me, (browser). It unfroze after a bit. But it would be nice to know how its done to over-ride and shut down programs on a Mac in the future.
