Nope. Stock FSX. I had the camera slightly zoomed out, and then cropped the pics to get a less "perfect center" shot.

The second set I used "CTRL -" to bring the camera reall close to the plane, giving it that exaggerated CFS3 style perspective.

Great pics but looks like your grabing the 1 wire. Shoot for that OK, 3 score lol. Love the shots man look great.

Heres my attempt. I was tooling around with the SDK and figured it would look good to have some hornets parked on the deck. So I went with the "Traps only deck, no launches" look.

Nice shylock,

You can create some pre-recorded flights with your heavy deck Traffic, using a little timing you can have them coming and going. Fun Stuff, almost have fun Little Deck Mission ready. Such a Trip trying to run a Carrier with mulitple traffic. Love the Hornet !!

Great Shots !! :friday:

I'm trying, but I consider it pretty lucky that I make the deck at all!

With the F-14, I'm having a little trouble finding the sweet spot in the throttle. I'm either slowing and falling like a rock or accelerating like a bat out of somewhere he doesn't want to be. The collimated HUD makes it a whole lot easier, though (especially with TrackIR). I just wish the F-18 had one!

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Well in the one pic you had the doughnut on your AOA lit solid so thats a good thing. Yea throttle is pretty tricky. Just like flying tight formation theres not much of a sweet spot. Your always adjusting the power.

Edit: Maybe this can help you out a bit.

Same problem here..I find that Iris F-14 bleeds airspeed a bit too fast..

I really love the Alphasim F-4J exterior model. It is SUPERB!! Too bad the VC doesn't work in FSX, hopefully the A2A Phantom will take it's place :)

can someone please tell me where to get the marines repaint for the F-18D?

MenendezDiego
March 18th, 2009, 20:47
Here ya go, http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=mc_225.zip&CatID=root

Sometimes finding repaints on Avisim is hard. If you search F-18, it won't show repaints entitled F/A-18D for example.

Kind of makes it fun when you find what you're looking for though :)

Stellar shots!

One question, I use FS recorder to have multiple aircraft in a shot...seems the most I can have is two :(

Is there a way to have more? A certain program?

Hi,

Using the Default FS recording that comes with FSX in a Mission, You can pull as many as you like into it. All the Aircraft are looping FSR's, So when their done flying their route and land on the deck they pause briefly and then redoo thier route again individually, after about 3 or 4 routes it can get a little exciting for the Airboss - :faint:!!

Working on a Controlled Environment, But requires several FSR's for each Aircraft, would be fun to have Airboss Controlling traffic as you enter carrier airspace.

Fun stuff, the downside is you need to be in mission mode and the carrier needs to be static, someday maybe we can do it with a moving Carrier.

I might still have the Mock Mission around saved somewheres, you could replace the F-18's and A-6's with the Aircraft of choice by editing the XML file, makes a great Carrier Video.
