I always thought that the first aircraft fatality was also the first time there was a photographer on board.. Am I wrong in thinking that?

I had the right name roaming around in my head...Selfridge, but guess I was wrong about the camera footage part....

"On September 17, 1908, Orville is seriously injured and his passenger, Lieutenant Thomas Selfridge, is killed in an airplane crash at Fort Meyer."

The notes on the video read in part : The images of this film were filmed in Italy on the 24th April 1909 by French production company Eclipse.

So Wilbur was flying.
