I could not find this on the AVH website.

"3gb_Hurricane Mk1(The August,2004 2.85 version only)"

There is a mk1a version but not just this mk1 (august 2004) that the readme asks for.

Can I just use the mk1a or will there be an error.

Wow this mission pack has a LOT of planes to DL. Is there an easier way to do this because I'm a little way through the list and have found multiple aircraft are no longer available.

Hello Grumpy,

As with the case of any aircraft that you can't find for a mission there are usually other aircraft of the same sort floating around (or should I say flying around) somewhere.

All that you have to do is use the name of whatever aircraft that you would like to replace in the mission with another aircraft. It can be the same type or just one that you would like to use to fly the mission.

Open the mission with notepad and just replace the name with whatever aircraft that you want to use. You must use the EXACT name of the aircraft from the XDP or AIR FILE name.

The hurri would be 3gb_hurricane_mk1 if that is the one you want to replace in the mission.
Of course you must have the aircraft you want in the aircraft folder.:kilroy:

Well I have a list of the ones I need now after combing through what I do and do not have.

Can someone please point me in the direction of these files or e-mail them?

Any help would be so appreciated I want to play this series of BOB missions in a bad way.

The hurricane should be at avhistory.org in the download/old 2.xx files section.
The GroundCrew stuff should be at http://www.regshanger.com/ in the Ground Crew section.

Did you already search SOH for the other planes? Look for add-ons by "Foute Man".

The BOB mission-pack is very well worth the efford to find all the required add-ons and make it run. I enjoyed many hours getting shot down while trying to do my duties....:gameoff:

based on newer models being developed , and foutes work , maybe he can do cd .. for the older models and we can send around , idea , for the older missions . bob missions

see how foute feels ,,,to do a cd

grump.....the S-38 is found in the "the garage corner" at the ground crew/regs hanger site. It's part of the MTB/SBoot project. Here's the link http://www.regshanger.com/Groundcrew/homepage/Garage/MTB/Ground%20Crew%20Garage%20-%20MTB.php It is a ship, a torpedo boat in fact, but it goes in the "airplane" folder as it's driveable. and here's the rescue pon link http://www.regshanger.com/Groundcrew/homepage/CFS3/Packages/rescue/Rescue%20Pontoon.php The reason people may seem reluctant to send you these files....me too....is not mean-spirited, it's that most of them have other files.....shared, pylons, guns, sounds, etc. that have to be installed as well in order to make them work. A missing pylon file for example will give you a CTD. All this stuff is still around....you can dig it up, read the "read mes", make sure you've all the dependant parts installed....and get your rig off to the races without a problem when the mission .xml calls for something that's missing. The hunt is part of the fun. Write back if you're stuck.

Thanks guys. I figured there were some sort of inherent copyright mores or something that kept this stuff from being emailed. That is understood, and the part about the multiple pieces of the aircraft files being hard to find when they are already installed is totally understandable too.

Thank you so much for finding those links! I'll keep digging. Now I'm just down to the dorniers missing and the British fighters in USA nationality as AI only pack of 3.

There is a Hurricane at AVH in the old 2.xx files but it isn't the same version so it would create an error I think It says Hurricane MK1a not just Mk1. Is it the same thing?

Haha I just sent him an email. It looks like FM has done a lot of work on CFS3 addons which is to be commended! It took me forever to download most of this stuff so it must have taken him countless hours to get it done.

Grump....I assume you're talking about the 3gb_ Hurri, and yes, it's the same one by both names. Your mission .xdp, if you open one of them up, will call for a 3gb_Hurricane MK1, while the plane file name is Hurricane MK1a.....a bit misleading to be sure. But the name that the mission .xml looks for is not the whole plane file name, but the name in the model file within the plane file, which if you open THAT up is 3gb_hurricane_mk1.M3D....not mk1a. Whenever you're shuffling planes around in a mission file or unsure of a name.......look at the model name, not the file name.

Gaw, thanks. CFS seems like a fickle thing so I didn't want to put the wrong plane in and crash the computer. I'll DL it now. I got the Dorniers too! Now I'm so close! :amen:

Well gentlemen I've gotten the BOB missions installed into the ETO!! I had time to fly a couple of missions last night before bed and it was really great thanks for all of your help.

I have one question about the missions though. The first two British side missions seem a little strange in that I don't take off from the runway at the airport and there are no other Hurricanes taking off with me.

Is it supposed to be solo? Maybe because ETO has been updated so often since the Wulfmann BOB missions came out the airfield runway moved? Everything else seems to be going great though!

ETO GOT EM ALL LOADED AS WELL THE BOB MISSIONS , on both sides of the fence - and there rocking in eto . great everything , sirens a blazing , flak a moving , ports a sizzling , sky is excellent land masses ...etc....

loaded alot of planes and all works lucky i had alot of foutes previous , and wroks and his new . edited a few .

love this , at this rate im always going to be an ADULT CHILD . that dreams about being in the action of the :"battle of britian"
