Hi all,
I have fallen foul of what I believe is a bug with Vista.Have found several posts on the net about this problem, but no solutions.Just spent the past 5 hours trying to fix this.Last time this happened I had to do a full reinstall.Really do not want to have to do that again.
The problem is that I can nolonger cut/copy and paste.if I try I get the message that Windows Explorer has stopped working.I have tried system restore with no luck.I believe that it may be a problem with the clipboard becoming corrupted.
Any help to fix this would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks,

This happened several times for me. I rebooted it and things worked again.

So... I wasnt the only one this happened too, lol. I figured it was just vista messing with my mind..

Hi Lionheart,
I have also found that I cannot use the Windows downloader either.it downloads the file but leaves it unopeneable with the same error message.
Okay this is wierd.I can copy and paste as long as I do not have explorer open.If I try to copy directly from one folder to another with the any of the folders opened i get the error message. If I click on copy and shut the folder then paste to desktop it works fine.It will even copy over files that it would not do since it failed to copy.
This is the error message I get,

Hi all,
After a bit more investigating I have found the culprit.it is PC Tools Browser Defender. The Dll PCTBDCore.dll had corrupted. It appears to be a problem that PC Tools know about but haven't yet fixed.I was using Version 2.0.6.4.

Hi Moe,
It is definatly the PC Tools DLL.There is a whole string posts on their forum over this problem. They have also admitted there is a problem. They thought it was fixed in this version. But obviously not.
