Hi, I just am buildling my first FSX install and hoped to find a camera helper i enjoyed in FS9..it allows you to use the mouse when in the "view the plane from the outside and behind" view (SPOT mode ), and scroll in and out and rotate the angle.. is there such a utility for FX? i really enjoyed that. This may be possible with the default settings but i havent found it yet > any help much appreciated.

FX is certainly lovely i am enjoying the scenery enhancement very much, and it seems to run fine so far, with farily dense settings even on my older FX 7600GT with 3 GB of RAM to help out :) on my AMD 3400 :) great to see the evolution of this great series of sims.

Try Wheelcam (freeware)...or DBS Walk and Follow (payware) :)

I think you mean "FSX", and I think you are talking about "Spot View".

And have you tried [Shift]+O?

It allows you to pan and zoom in Spot View, but I mainly use it for added realism and better piloting in the Virtual Cockpit.

Besides the built-in Shift+O facility, there is a $30 FSX payware utility called "Walk and Follow" (http://www.dbsim.com/), and a freeware called "EZ Walk Camera" (http://disk.tom.ru/l28n2ty/1/5109a/EZdok_walk_camera%20V1.2.zip) or (http://www.ausflightsim.net/article607.html) - but I haven't tried either of those.

Oh, yeah - another freeware I haven't tried - "WheelCam" is at (http://www.g-daehling.de/fs2004/modules.php?name=Content&pid=2)
