#190 is debatable/tricky depending on the naval service. At MUGM NAS the clerk is just what it is a clerk. Now i do know shipboard down here we call clerks on ships compony Yeoman.
#181 USCG dont allow Rum rations so I dont know, but am interested in the UK Response.
#185 You made me think back to the CG Acadamy, No midshipman hold a officer rank. Officer cadets, trainees, and midshipmen are considered Geneva Conventions Category III personnel. We all had to listen to officers in charge of the USCGC Eagle (WIX-327).

Hi Trans,

all threads labelled Naval Questions Part ?? were current for the Royal Navy during WW2 when they were written.
They were compiled by several people on board a ship while travelling to America in a convoy.
After the war, the question list was made into a small book with a limited distribution of which I have a copy.

Most of the questions can be answered with a little help from Google, but some find it triggers interest in other things while searching as the subject may take them to different areas of history.

Thanks.

I figured learning a little something along the way may be painful, but there's always Advil to bail me out.
