8800GTX
4gb ddr2 800mhz
Dell mobo.

New system
Intel QX9650 3ghz extreme

Vista SP1 should take care of that..

Is it installed yet?

I've had it a couple times recently on FSX with Acceleration. I have a lot of stuff loaded in most categories that don't involve tubes. I've uninstalled some aircraft I don't fly very often and reduced AI scenery to Dense from Very Dense. So far so good.

I just pulled Accleration and have no problems.....

You may try if its found to be Acceleration causing it this...

Remove Acceleration...Install SP 1 &2 from FSInsider, then Acceleration...

There has been big discussion about wherther or not the services Packs are the same...PhilTaylor assured us they were..But it was highly disputed then from users of both..

Might be worth a try...

But you do need Vista SP 1 too...first

Have you applied the <!--StartFragment --> BCDEDIT /set increaseuserva 2560 VAS adjustment? Remember, virtual address space has absolutely nothing to do with physical memory. OOM Errors occur whenever FSX cannot locate a 1MB contiguous block of VAS in which to map whatever it is it wishes to map!

I have been getting the error a lot in the past month. Here is the link to MS download that shows the ID. numbers to check and see if they are already installed. For me They are installed and still have the issue. So I have turned down my setting a bit and they do not happen as often. Its sucks to be flying for 40 min. or so and then that dreaded messae appears and game over!!!!:faint:

I get this on my rig with 4GB under Win XP SP3

In XP the fix is to add /3GB /Userva=2560 to the boot.ini and then it goes away.
Only problem is it causes lockups in other games such as Fallout 3 and GTA 4 :(

Or try this, it closes background tasks that you do not need and frees up memory. It was recommended in the forums here.

I will give this a shot. I had a program like this when I used XP operating system. This might do the trick with Vista to give me that extra edge!
