I got to see the last flying RAF Shackleton fly. It was such a lady as she flew by with those wonderful RR Griffon engines pounding out the horse power.

stiz,.....I believe it's the 1908 prototype Avro 'Pit Bull' or 'Mudpuppie.' I keep getting them confused.....:kilroy:

I've got it down as the "Cody British Army Aeoplane No.1" that was first flown 16th Ocotber 1908, the first powered aeroplane to fly in britain, weather it had any nicknames or not i dont know :)
