Ok now we know that at the peak of progress in flight simulation... it has come tumbling down like a stack of cards.
Combat flight was more popular than civil flight simulation back in the day.
I say it is time to return to our roots!
IT IS TIME FOR A COMBAT FLIGHT SIM TEA PARTY!!

I, too, was a big fan of Aces of the Pacific. Aces over Europe never quite made it with me, though.
Those were the days (or were they?)

Ah man, Crimson Skies, what a hoot!
The planes look like they're directly of of a Bruce McCall National Lampoon short. Wonder if it'll still work with Vista? The CD is right abouve me as I type. Think I'll try to download.

It should if you run it in "XP compatibility mode" right now I have Lock-On running in Vista.

Wow... yeah Flanker was good and I had Eurofighter... loved that one mission where you had to drop an GBU on a tunnel entrance.

well, there is always today...
we had about a dozen pilots in a CFS 1 Multi Player session for several hours.
we were practicing low level Lanc runs in preparation for next Sunday's Dam Buster Mission.
we meet every Sunday at 11:00 EST.
come join the fun if ya want.
all are welcome.

Yeah I liked Janes... did not have the campaign modeling that Dynamix series and EAW had.
Here's another one!
