Since I have one button on my joystick programmed to open the 2D popup window for GPS I have rewritten all the panel.cfg files to standardize which window opens as Window04. (something I wish developers would do.) However... in many aircraft I have lost the VC clickspot to trigger the 2D popup for GPS.

How can I achieve this? What file requires modification? Is it an xml somewhere? In the "gauges" folder?

In a semi-related question, how do you open pop up windows 10 and higher? My Il-62 has 36 and I haven't the foggiest.......

In most cases it involves editing the aircraft Panel.cfg file. I use the gauges in the cpt.icons CAB file for that purpose. It can be downloaded at FlightSim.com by searching that site for the file named "cptts12.zip". Included in it is a very good "readme" file which explains how to use them. That download also includes a file that depicts each icon visually. These are FS2002 XML files that work fine in FS9 and FSX.
