Does anyone out there have the talent and know how to convert the USCG HH-65C package for FS2004 to FSX? The only issues are with the window transparency and rotor blur when viewing though autogen scenery and clouds. I know this is common when using many of the FS2004 birds in FSX, but this is too great a collection of HH-65s to pass up.

It can be found in FlightSim by searching for "uscg 65" or clicking the download link below.

It is a great package, enjoyed it quite a bit in FS9. The usual "fix' for this is to assign new FSX properties to the textures and then recompile with the FSX compiler. For this to happen you have to have the original source for the model, might try contacting John or Keith Devins since they made the remodel.

A simple solution is to play around with the glass and rotor alphas. It does not cure the problem but it makes it less obvious. Due to the nature of the model you lose shine off the fuselage as darkened alphas make it more or less transparent so I left them as matt. If you want my textures GatorFlyer just pm me with your e.mail addy. Also, because this is FsX the common textures do not have to be added to all the 70 odd texture folders, just drop in a texture.cfg into all the other texture folders.

I wish I had the skills to convert this USCG HC Collection. Its the reason I keep Fs9 installed on its dedicated HD. Abacus has the cousin to the Daulphin the Panther but no USCG paint yet. I'm trying to get Abacus to do the AS365 to go with the Panther. Here is a pic of there panther. Aussiecop over at OzX did the repaint, maybe I can req at OzX a USCG paint since FTX has PNW coming along. Maybe fictional but at least we USCG will have a HC besides our jayhawk. Icarus has the Stingray for Fs9 and its on there list for FSX. I do ask our painters in FSX that if they see a similar USCG AC that they please consider a USCG paint. To those who have done a USCG thank You from all of us Coasties.
