The the stock P-38f.gau gauges supplied with CFS2 are IMHO possibly the worst appearing visually of them all.

I repainted them to provide them with a more realistic and accurate appearance. A face lift to bring them up to current CFS2 fan development standards, if you will.

Simply replace the stock gauge in your GAUGES folder with the one in this file. It keeps the stock gauge file name so the updated gauges will appear in every cockpit that utilizes one or more of the gauges.

I really like the new P-38f gauges for the stock P-38. However, they only work in the stock P-38f. When I have used these gauges in other panels they revert back to the original stock gauges. Is there some other adjustment I need to make or is it my Windows 10 incompatible? My gauge program shows the new gauges, but when I run CFS2 it shows the old gauges. Is it just me or has anyone else had this problem?

Maybe Captain Kurt didn't update all of the gauge textures? Gauges seem to have a high and low detail texture to them.

Allen you are correct. I will remedy that. Watch for the update.

Just be aware that the low detail textures are extremely small which will make rendering legible lettering very difficult and/or impossible. I'll do the best I can with 2 to 4 pixels being all that can be used. :banghead:

Braveheart reported that some panels were still showing the old gauges and not the updates. That would be because the panel designer used the low res gauges included in the stock gauge folder. Don't know why anyone would do that but regardless, I just uploaded an updated file to include the low res gauges. Because the low res gauges use very small bitmaps it is hard to get legible lettering to show but I did the best possible with only several pixels to work with.

The updated gauges are in the original download location:
