I know someone has probably come across these little problems before and provided an answer. But I never spend enough time reading all the posts! So... I ask the question... how do I fix these little anomolies that you come across every now and then? See screenie.... This is at New Plymouth(NZNP) in New Zealand! This is where the flight will start you out .. when selecting active runway!

thanks:typing:

LOL, that does suck. here is a new AFCAD type file that fixes that, just unzip and place the BGL in the ADDON SCENERY/SCENERY folder and you'll be good to go.

if you want to do it yourself, install ADE and you can alter any stock airport yourself.

there are many obstructed runways in fsx. i don't know anything about how scenery is made, so i don't know how that can happen. i have been to airports with the tacan huts on them like that one, trees in the middle of them, buildings, and water. i forget which one it is now, but there is a large airport somewhere that the buildings are so close to the taxiway, large planes couldn't taxi on them without the wing slicing the bldg.

cheezyflier, what Michael did is make a new AFCAD file which has autogen exclusions in it. This can be done with AFX, ADE or FSX Planner. There are several airport design editors out there that will correct the problem. My Al Kharj scenery posted here had this problem with an addon Asia Landclass product, buildings on the runway and taxi areas. This was the first I heard Al Kharj had the problem with this product. I made a quick exclusion AFCAD for this person and wah La the buildings are gone.

Hope this helps those with the problem.

Reminds of the time at dinner when my daughter (then maybe three or four years old at the time) asked, "What's walla?". We asked her to tell us where she heard it. She said it was on a cooking show on TV. Some French chef would say it when he took something out of the over.

Also important is to notice the different in spelling between voila and viola - they are fun when used interchangeably. "And Julia Child removes the casserole from the oven, viola, the finished product!" Which is correct, as long as the finished product is a moody violin-type instrument...
