Today, very early in the morning, a lone Shorts 360 Turbo prop carrying 24 "ghost hunters" left the airport to research the Mysterious "Skull" lake up in the Cordillera.
Many tales abound around this beautiful and very high in the mountains lake, where the Condor flies. Miss Ishta Mikiluki Protta a Doctor of the Science of the Occult and other Trivia is the leader of this unusual expedition. Captain
Friscos Ettlemash, better known as " Conde Negro" for his flight adventures in the resent Bolivian war as pilot of fortune is in command of this Turbo aircraft which is capable, under good and skilled hands, land on a dime.
The flight will take these adventurous and reckless dudes & dames into the most dangerous area of the southern cordillera where many aircraft have been lost for many years leaving no trace of them, not even a rivet!!!!
Pilots flying these skies have, under wraps, told very scary stories: Capt. Hiptumg Zwazzuzzz of South Africa flying a 707 reported in 1978 that, as he tried to kiss the stewardess that had brought him coffee to his post, he had seen a "fast light streak across the right wing and on to the tail of his aircraft", upon landing in Santiago he was summarily kicked out of the company for saying such foolishness and for behaving like a jerk with the Chief of Pilotsīs wife, Inga, besides poring the coffee all over his pants.
The area is very rugged and they will try to land at "Torta Point" a very short airfield constructed by the "Nickel & Dimes" sulphur digging company which went out of business when the owner was caught killing the almost hardly seen "Booli-Buli" Bird. Other landings will also occur both in airfields and miserable roads which the authorities have not given any maintenance in ages.
