Today is Yom Kippur for the Jews (gmar hatima tova !) . Nobody works or drive a car here in Israel. The streets, roads or highways are totally empty of cars or trucks !

The silence overcomes the cities. The pious go to the synagogue, the others take their bikes and roam the streets :mixedsmi: ! Bands of kids and adults of all ages... It makes you wonder how would be urban life without cars, less miserable I guess.

The weather is delicious today sunny and warm, Just did a 3 hour ride from the northern suburbs of Tel Aviv to Jaffa and back with the wife. Hey, we keep in shape, not bad at 60 :jump:..

We have the candles burning; the wife is on her Yom Kippur fast in remembrance of others.
