Shessi is working on a new B17C/D Flying Fortress for FS9 and CFS2. These are the Fortresses that pioneered the air route across the Pacific to the Philippines in 1941, and the early defense of the Philippines and the DEI in early 1942. I have an old campaign called "Ferry" which I upgraded to use the Alphasim B-17D for the flight from Hamilton Field to Clark Field in the Philippines. Recently I converted to the B-17D by Allen. The national insignia is late 1942 on this model without the red circle the middle of the star. However, while the bomb doors do not open, I like the rear view from the bathtub position.

I have all of Shessi's PBYS and I am looking forward to seeing his B-17C/D. I like the looks of the pictures he posted in the 2002/2004 Forum.

Hi BH,
Don't worry, I would never forget the 'old faithful'. It will have many LOD's so should be good for CFS2. The Alphasim B17D is a good model and has good FR's, but as a first person ac this will be much better.

Not too much longer..fingers crossed.. ;)

Cheers

Sorry my B-17s started life as a AI only and that they are not FS04 and FSX detail.

Hi BH,
Yes, it has progressed, has now got a VC, and LODs. I've been working on a few other things so has slowed B17...but fear ye not, will be next after some more PBY's....don't groan! lol.

Cheers
