I am posting this information on the FSX thread, although the video was shot in P3Dv4. That being as it may, the information is more general in nature and this forum has the highest volume.

I am moving my video channel off YouTube permanently. The new channel is http://www.real.video/ and will remain there until further notice. I shall not go into the details out of respect for this forum, but I shall state that my reason for leaving is strong disagreement with editorial policies now in place at YT. I shall therefore no longer support YouTube or any of its affiliates in any way.

That said, I am still severely restricted in my projects until the appropriate tools arrive that will allow me to repair what is left of my work station. I am working out of my local library for the time being which allows me to upload projects that I am able to complete on my backup Win7 Drive. The nature of the damage is directly attributable to hacks against my system, propagated by various nefarious entities whom are allowed to continue their "mining" operations with full support and approval of the tech "giants". I shall therefore be only uploading from my remote location until this environment is resolved, or hopelessly compromised. Either way, my work will continue under new "rules of engagement".

I would very much appreciate input from those who choose to view this new video as to performance and availability. All of my future work will be produced in this 4k format and I am keen to find a modality that allows high quality video, and good representation on various browsers and systems.

Now that I've gotten things off my chest....enjoy the video.

Gman,
it works aloso in Poland, but I don't see 4K button, so quality is worse than on YouTube. Example my video from 4 year ago:

Example of 4K on YT, works well: https://youtu.be/4NBpgacYW8g .

Beautiful video! I can't see any button allowing a resolution change, but the default or automatic setting seemed just fine for my old PC.

On my side, I have quite a slow connection (3000 bit/sec max) and the quality was way worse than on Youtube.
No buttons to choose the resolution, resolution going to lowest each time I clicked on the timeline, etc...
What was the problem with Youtube ? I suppose they didn't like your music choices ? (copyrights or such ? )

Aside from this, the video itself was quite enjoyable, to say the least

From what I can see right now, the video player automatically selects resolution. On my end it will break the resolution quite badly for a minute or two, then resume the 1980 x 1020 format. I don't see any accommodation for 4K yet on the player. Hopefully that will change as the provider expands their platform.

The problem at YT was not around copyright. I use music that grants the user permissions, provided the video is not monetized. Funny thing, I went to retrieve my video collection from YT, but the video containing the special use permissions is blocked. Most of my early video was prior to my installing the current GPU, so the quality is a bit jumpy. As far as I'm concerned YT can keep that work with a big KMA from me.

I'll be producing new video in the future, but I'll retain my IP and not surrender it to YT. Their policies on MY intellectual property were one of the primary reasons I have chosen to leave the platform. I have a few other reasons, but those could incite a riot here so I'll keep them to myself.

Very, very nice! Is Simmersion 3D your company? Besides KNZY, are there other NAS's in the works? NC

Thanks Chief.

Simmersion4D will be the entity once I get to the point where I have a viable product line. I'm a one man show...and it's a lot of work. Dealing with computer issues makes it a tad bit more work...but I'm working on it.

KNZY North Island NAS is one in the queue, Naval Air Station Fallon is in preliminary also. Autogen and HD photoreal are complete, and the airport model with ground polys is well along. All of the buildings and AI need will need to be modeled. It's down the queue from current commitments, but it's in the plan.

Thanks for the link YoYo. Vimeo was a candidate, but I'm supporting Mike Adams new venture. He's a former Ranger and I've followed his work for many years. I have high confidence in his platform.

Works perfectly here in S. Florida, USA. Great vid. Whose North Island?

It's a blue sky project at the moment. I needed a canvas to bring my self up to speed in the current 64-bit SDK, developing techniques to translate into my current work. Mostly focusing on AO mapping for structures and optimizing models, vegetation and custom autogen. There's a lot of room for polys in 64 bit, so I'm trying to find a performance envelope for big projects i.e. Coronado/North Island.

Worked perfect here about 30 miles northeast of NAS North Island. Not sure how they feel about takeoffs over Point Loma though. Extremely close to the KSAN Rwy 9 approach. Probably even prohibited.

Definitely fractured one or two rules and maybe some windows.
Real world, departures are very restricted, as are approaches. :encouragement:
