I have never had this before so I'm unsure where to look to correct the problem. I am using the autopilot from the AlphaSim B-57. . .I've used it extensively actually and the readouts always look correct. Now I've added it to an airplane and actually both the GPS and the AP displays are messed up.

I've looked at the xml file for the AP and it calls for "quartz" as the font
I've also checked the xml file for the GPS and it calls for "Arial"

I have both of those in the Fonts folder of the Sim, so is it looking somewhere else for the fonts that I'm not aware of?

Look under your control panel for a "Fonts" subdirectory. If they are not there, copy what you have to there. That may work

That all checked out Mike. The other possibility is that it has to do with the resolutions. The GPS and AP as Pop-Ups display fine, but place them in the VC and the fonts are out of wack. The VC placeholder is 1024,1024, the resolution of the VC texture is 4096,4096.

Hi Ed
I am also having problems with another installation and during discussions came accross this.

Hi,
If you are using Windows 7, there is an inherent problem with the default fonts that was caused by a previous Win 7 update.
The advice on this page should fix it - https://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/270432-exception-code-0xe0434352-system-drawing-font-createnativefont.htm

Ok, I'm in Win10 but if I restore the fonts to their default settings, does that affect only the default fonts, or does that delete everything (all the additional fonts downloaded and installed over the past 20 years) and start over from scratch? Nothing I've read addresses that little tidbit, it just talks about the default fonts being set to their original default settings.
