In the very recent past I've been running FSX when it hangs up about 20 - 25 minutes into the flight.

At about the same time I got this message on the computer via dialog box:

Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files ...

R6016
- not enough space for thread data

I am wondering if the two events are related.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1, AMD Phenom II X4 940 processor, 3.00 GHz, 12.0 GB RAM, 64-bit OS, using a Radeon R9 380 series video card w/current drivers & updates.

EDIT: I can't remember its exact name, but there is a way to review an event log associated with this machine, or any machine. I've seen it named before on this site but can't remember what it is called. 65 YO and memory is starting to slip a little - at least, for things I don't use or deal with very often!

Yes, thanks got the steer. I just got another dialog box with the "C++" info on it. I just noted it's connected with my Avira service. Will contact them re: reason/solution.
