Hello; I seem to remember seeing a thread somewhere about a fix for the F/A-18 in FSX acceleration regarding the aircraft overstressed message. I am getting this message everytime I fly and I can't seem to find this thread anymore, does anyone know or hear of this fix?:help:

Along with that, I think there is a mod to raise the nose gear, when the aircraft is on the ground. Any help?

Thanks.

There are a few good tweaks on this page - http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=9313

The Hud mod is a big improvement as is the Spolier fix on the Blue Angels link.

I'm always surprised there aren't more repaints for this aircraft.

i don't fly it often, but everytime i do, i am grateful for the fix that takes away those awful auto flaps.

Just curious why people hate the auto-flaps. Is it because FSX does not implement them properly for the FA-18, or some other reason? Since the real one does have "auto-flaps." I'm not even 100% sure what "auto" means in this case. The plane seems to fly (and land) ok for me, even with "auto-flaps."

What sort of weather have you flown it it ?

For me if I fly in any kind of wind or turbulance the flaps keep deploying and retracting constanly, make it really hard to keep a good AOA when trapping.

That makes more sense. The real one has three positions: UP, where they shouldn't deploy by themselves, AUTO, where they do ... whatever it is they do in the AUTO position, and FULL. I've never noticed them coming down by themselves, hehe.
