Hi all,
here is the story :
I installed a PCI card to add four USB ports to my comp. To test it, I plugged my joystick in one of the ports (M$ sidewinder pro2). Everything fine, so I unplugged the stick because I wanted to use the ports for other peripherals.
Later, I tried to plug the joystick in another USB port but my system doesn't know I've plugged something in. Unplugged it. Installed sidewinder software (not compulsory with a joystick normally). When time comes to plug the joystick, still no go, my system doesn't see I've plugged it in.
It seems my system will be happy only if I plug my joystick in the very same USB port I tested in the first place (not an option).
How can I solve the issue without reinstalling windows? (I have windows XP) I've just reformatted and reinstalled almost everything on my comp, and the thought of having to start it from scratch again gives me a monster headache.
Cheers.
