What the heck is it ? The email really didn't explain it at all. OK, the pictures make sense. And what happens after three years ? Out dated data, or it just quits working ?
"Included in the package
3 years access to the WebSimConnect SVS Cloud service providing nine arc-second SVS database of the terrain for the entire planet."

The G1000 gauge will still work, however you wont get the terrain mapping displayed, it will look like the stock G1000 with the SVS set up the price is fair for 3yrs,

Love the new G1000 its great for night flying and in the mtns with fwd look terrain radar

I wish more devs could have this feature on the glass gauges and if only you could import that gauge into other aircraft, which you can but wont get the SVS feature

I expect if this turns out to be popular enough they'll come up with some offer to extend the subscription.

This Synthetic Vision was originally supposed to be installed in to the Iris PC-24. Not sure what happened with that, or if it's still happening.

with the long history with developers having fall outs with Iris, im not surprised at all if it doesn't happen

The Carenedo version is another version than the on FSDev it has more features I have been following that and something and other payware dev had started, anyway this version been out for a while now as they released it with their 172 so its no new,

the only new thing is they have extended this to all of the aircraft that have a G1000 fitted

It wont stop the aircraft from working at all as I tried it out when it first came out by testing it with the modem turned off

With no connectivity its just a normal g1000 gauge and works fine

So if you dont want re subscribe its wont be the end of the world for all the g1000 fitted aircraft

For what its worth, i love it and use it all the time
