Both P-38s are from same set of missions. How do I fix the texture of "Jeanne" ? I looked at the p-38 Jeanne texture and the "drawing failed". The Windows and fax viewer sometimes gives me that message.

Windows Photo and fax viewer "drawing failed" is common with CFS2 encoded bmps.

Your going to need DXTBmp http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm to look at the bmps. To me it looks like your in the lowest quality texture settings but the objects look fine so I'm going to guess something is wrong with the texture and MipMaps but never have seen that before.

If you got the plane from here can you link to it so we can take a look at it?

It is a David Copley FS 2004 conversion

Hi highpockets,

Did you check your settings, image quality?
Mine have changed on me for no apparent reason from time to time.

those image grabs were taken during the same loadup of the sim. I just went from one mission to another to find the planes. My settings are 1024x768x16

Hmmmm. I just looked at my image quality and the maximum visibility was 50 miles !!??
Changed it to 15 miles and the plane looks ok now. That's where I thought it was all along. Thanks for the tip.:applause:
I am not smart enought to know why the distance of visibility would affect the texture but guess it does. Maybe like focusing binoculars or microscope:dizzy:
