Today in 2017 marks the 73rd anniversary of the beginning of the end of the Third Reich with the invasion of Normandy. Take a moment and reflect on the terror , on both sides, that the participants felt in that early morning of the Longest Day, which for many were their last moments on this earth.
Remember " Those that do not know their history are doomed to repeat it"

It's amazing how many younger people actually know what June 6th, 1944 was in history. I was suitably impressed with one particular young chap when he not only knew what today was, but he knew all of the beach head battle fronts and the strategy's that were in place which led up to the assault on Normandy. Too bad there aren't more like him... this country would be better off for it.

Lest we forget.... All gave some, some gave all.
