Slow and quiet day at home.....

Decided to do some touch-n-go's with the XB-46 out on Manihiki Atoll, Cook Islands. Petty much always have the sky to myself out here, and there are no mountains so slam into. A win-win situation for me.....:biggrin-new:

Nice pics. Thought that was Diego Garcia for a sec until I read your text.

The scenery is freeware of some of the Cook Island Atolls and very nicely done. I typically fly the larger flying boats around these Pacific atolls, but the higher flying jets like the XB-46 give you a different perspective. Especially the XB-46 as it has a modern fighter's bubble canopy that gives you a nice wide open view. I can ride in the back seat too on the XB-46 if I just want to go sightseeing......:encouragement:

Don't forget the shallow water at both ends that will make the bird recoverable should it want to go for a drink.

I've had enough coral scrapes in my youth to know it's better to deep six the bird then try to land in the shallows......:loyal:
