Plenty of different model variations = plenty of scope for other versions...

ex-Sabena machine used for CASEVAC in Kenya during 1941

Townsville, Qld. RAAF men preparing food in front of an Avro 618 Ten monoplane trimstor aircraft, call sign VH-UXX at Garbutt aerodrome. The aircraft (so-named becuase it carried two crew and eight passengers) was a licence built version of the Dutch Fokker F.VIII B/3m. Fourteen were built, and served with Australian National Airways (ANA) among other airlines. In 1933 the aircraft was re-registered and renamed "Faith in Australia" (call sign VH-UXX) by Charles Ulm. It was transferred to Stephens Airways in Wau, New Guinea in 1941. In late 1941 and early 1942 the aircraft, piloted by Eric Stephens, Royal Flying Corps veteran, and sometimes co-piloted by Norman R Wilde, was used to evacuate civilians from the highlands to the coast. In February 1942 Stephens and Wilde transported evacuees from Port Moresby to Townsville. The aircraft was withdrawn from use (wfu) and remained abandoned on the airfield for some time.

Beautiful work - and there's also this famous one - Charles Kingsford Smith's "Southern Cross" still preserved today at Brisbane Airport.

SPMan, it seems these planes went through a series of changes, from all 2-blade, through 2 blade outer & 3 blade centre, to all 3 -blade props.

Jens did a variety of FVII models, each with differing prop & exhaust pipe arrangements. The texture mapping remains the same, so I guess it's entirely possible to swap out for one of the other FVII models with a centre 3-blade prop. No idea if the exhaust pipework will match...

Jens only released a single Avro Ten model, & this was my starting point, so it has 2 bladed props :costumed-smiley-034. It was the PNG evacuation story that got my attention...

Tried hanging some bombs off the FVIIb-3m, but the CG change makes it difficult to fly...
