Is there a V1 flying bomb anywhere i can go chasing, probably be real easy to make up an ai track, flying from a to b, ive the Typhoon, Real air Spit and Rob R's Meteor to go hunting them down, no too bother'd about actually shooting it down, could never do that in a combat sim anyway :biggrin-new:.

cheers ian

Found one over at Flyaway Simulations:

https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/693/fs2004-fiesler-v1-flying-bomb/

Also on Avsim under filename: tluk_v1.zip

Although its FS9, its worth a try as an FSX AI.

Just remember to share the final results and mission or flight plan.. :very_drunk:

Yes it works in FSX but the engine exhaust flames are not visible:pop4:

Similarly inspired, I've been trying to do the same thing in IL-2 1946.

Michel Merle aka Michaelblackbird did a package for FS2004, which included a flying V-1. It was intended to be used with the RealAir Mk.XIV Spitfire. It also contained a AI plan which would randomly launch a V-1 which could be chased with the Spitfire. (Even without tacpack it was quite a nice challenge). I have checked the SOH library, the Flightsim library and the AVsim library, but the package isn't available there.

Sadly the site where Michel normally made his things available, is not there anymore.

Cheers,
Huub

This is an example where this Typhoon and TacPack would go GREAT together! If only...

I found it!

Not on the internet (thanks for the link Jamie, but it only provided screenshots....). But on one of my (too) many back-up disks.

It is a bgl file and you should download the V-1 by Samantha Downes.

I really don't know whether the bgl file will work in FSX, but when somebody wants to give it a try, I can send him/her the file per e-mail. Just PM me your e-mail address.

Cheers,
Huub
