Try this: KB961894_SP1

(((This is an update for FSX that some people may be unaware they need. It contains an exe file that will install a missing portion of service pack 1 that was left out of Acceleration. The .dll file in the other folder may be needed for those who have FSX crash when accessing menus; or as happened to me, needed to be there so FSX Acceleration did not crash early each session while running under Windows 8.1. The SP1 update also makes it possible to see carriers in Acceleration that otherwise would not be able to be seen. These files are on the internet for anyone to download, but I don't remember coming across an update like this to bring people's attention to them.
Unzip to a folder of your choice. Go into the SP1 folder and run the exe file. Even if you alread have it as part of FSX Acceleration it should not do any damage to the program. If your version of FSX is stable, not crashing, then you don't need to do anything else.
If you are experiencing crashes that don't seem to have a cause, copy the .dll file in the other folder to the root folder of FSX. Again it should not hurt FSX for this file to be there, even if it does not help cure the crashing problems.

You will have to search online for it, but it worked with mine under Windows 10.

If you cannot find it let me know and I will send it to you via email. It is 2920kb zipped.

Which .dll are you referring to (or am I blind) all there is in the zip file I downloaded is KB961894_VC++_Post_2005_SP1.exe, no dll files.

Edit upon reflection the size of mine is 2644KB
