How compatible are the new features included in OFF with a WWII install of CFS3? Specifically, what about the campaign mode and historical squadrons and the moving frontlines? Also, I'm not clear on this- have you done anything to the formation types like more planes possible in each formation and completely new formation types? Can't wait for OFF...5 days...I hope!

Gecko.. um there is nothing WW2 used. A few help files we haven't removed yet maybe. New world, new objects, new planes, new ... forget WW2. Anyway just wait and see :D. When you install OFF it is a NEW independant install of CFS3 customised to WW1.. as WM has mentioned before we do not alter your current CFS3 install.

I suspect gecko might be thinking if the techniques used could be transferrable if not the actual data.

I think you misunderstood my question. What I meant was, can any features like the campaign and other things I mentioned - not the WWI planes and scenery and stuff - be applied to a stock CFS3 install and work with WWII planes and scenery etc. Simply applying the campain engine or OFF manager or whatever program sets all this stuff up to a WWII environment. Not that I'm not wanting OFF and all the WWI stuff - I want it as much as anyone, I just want to be able to have the same capabilities that OFF has for WWI, be usable for WWII. I hope I made since this time.:)

Edit: mongoose, right on, that's what I meant to say only you did it in a lot fewer words.

OK my comments still apply then i.e. forget WW2 ;)

Seriously, in a word No. Unless WM makes lots of changes to the code to look for alternative WW2 configuration etc. Maybe he'd do that in the future.

I guess we'll have to wait til Sunday to see exactly what's up and then people maybe able to reverse engineer.:)

this raises a question i was wondering, would the off planes be workable in regular cfs3?
