Or is there anything else worth to consider?

I have the Tacpack btw

Thank You.

I have both. The RAZBAM looks nicer in the VC but the SSW has a far better FDE and STOVL capability. I have the SSW Harrier in my Sim, the RAZBAM is retired. I seem to recall that SSW was upgrading the VC/VC Textures but do not hold me to that.

I do have the 'Wilco' Harrier/GR3/FSR1 , Lotta fun, but they are TACPAC connected unless a patch has been released .

I haven't tried the SSW or Wilco versions. I have the Wilco version but have never installed it. I have the Razbam GR7/GR9 and the AV-8B, and both are excellent addons. I would think that for the most well covered flight dynamics and systems the SSW version would be the best, as that seems to be their aim; to cover as many systems as possible.

Cheers,

I have all three models ( SSW / WILCO / RAZBAM ), so my opinion is:

n°1 : SSW , excellent FDE ( the best one ) even if 3d model and VC should be upgraded.
n°2 : Wilco , not bad, but the FDE is not good as the SSW one, furthermore, the HSI/VOR indicator is not reliable, I've written to Wilco support about this issue and they answered me that they should
make a patch ( when?).
n°3 : Razbam : NO-COMMENT

My first pick would be the Wilco GR3/FRS.1 but these are my favourite versions, not because it's a better model. The Razbam GR7/9 has a great external model and zero frame hit. The SSW AV8 external model is poor when compared to the other 2 but the FD is better than the other 2 and for those who like switches.. you have more to do.

The Razzer model is in a sale somewhere almost all year.
The Wilco model is quite often in a sale.
The SSW model is rarely in a sale.

Don't be tempted to pay full whack for any of them.

I bought the Razbam one first. I loved the model but got bored of the flght model in VTOL mode. Concretely, the plane makes a sudden vertical jump when you fly just under 100 knots. The secret to manage the jump artifact is to reach that speed at low altitude and very softly. With some prectice, if your carrier sails at 30 or more knots it is not difficult to make a VTOL landing. But if you want a real static flght it is really difficult to hover.
Then, bored of all this questions, I bought the SSW one. It is much easier to hover and to make vertical landing, and many people think that the flight model is much more realistic. But, even agreeing with this, I feel extrange in the cockpit of the SSW Harrier after many hours into a real good VC. So, I keep using the Razbam one most of the times. I wish somebody could find the way to join the best of both.
I think the external model is not so important, because you fly inside, but the Razbam one is also better. And I have been flying in formation with other two planes without FPS loss.

You summarized it quite well: the SSW Harrier is the most realistic one, but the Razbam one looks better.
The Razbam Harrier(s) are quite pleasant to fly excepted that weird behavior in VTOL. Its VC is really good quality, although I wish its avionics were more complex. Also, it's not TacPack compatible :/

I own both, but the SSW one is not P3D compatible yet, so I can't fly it yet. I could simply take a look at it in the parking, and yes the graphics in the VC are not so pleasant for somebody used to the Razbam one. But on the other end, I believe the SSW VC has nicer avionics, and is quite easy on the FPS as well.

It might be worth mentioning that Razbam seems to have essentially stopped supporting a lot of their products, judging from the number of unanswered posts (and un-deleted spam posts) on their forums, as well as quite a few complaints there of emails never being answered.

Razbam has gone DCS-only and that's the reason why their products are on permanent discount. I should mention they are building a high fidelity night attack AV-8B for DCS, but that's to be expected at least a year from now.

SSW Harrier is on the workshop fon an upgrade of cockpit texturing and Tacpack compatibility, like other SSW products.
I think before the end of the year the "Lawndart" upgrade will be available, for FSX and P3D.X

jagl04,here are a couple of wip screens of the internal model.

The other features of next release will be a cartographic moving map (using the same SRTM that SSW used with PA-200),TacPack compatibility,a better looking HUD,and other minor improvements.

The release is not so far..so stay tuned.

Ale, the update looks absolutely fantastic! Question, will the update be free to existing Harrier users or will there be a small upgrade fee?

Peg O My Heart, search for any posts from Deacon211, he has a good review of both models and has actually time in the AV-8B.

Correcting the wrong title..
StormILM (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/member.php?87307-StormILM): there is a 50% discount for users that want upgrade from FSX/P3D 2.x
And a correction, the upgrade interests P3D only at the moment, an upgrade for FSX is planned but not yet began.

Yep, even if a bit later than P3D version.
William Njurmi: not in our plan, may be a revision of the radar.

Darn, I was hoping to upgrade covered both sims at release but I am okay with waiting (hopefully it won't be too long after the P3D release).

I definitely agree that the textures for RAZBAM are solid. The exterior looks salty and in need of a freshwater wash down. SSW systems are great. I have flown the SSW version in P3Dv2.5 recently with no issues, but it has been a long time since I've done any flightdeck work or hovers so I am a bit out of practice.
