I am not happy with the nose shape of the MK 2 Sentenial, but the boolean operations of the air intakes were done. A good base to make it better.

But it is a long way to go to final.

Thereīs no hurry. Exterior model of Mark 2 Custom is nearly finished. Just two WIP-pictures of real N200TL. I currently think about amphibian, a skydivers, a tundra and a police version.

Youīre right. The cockpit style in all is the same, but engines display have also digits. And Rolls-Royce B17F2 has FADAC. The working of power and propeller management is totally differen to Mark 1. It is a combination of turning and pull/pushing on both. Fuel cut off is integrated in propeller control now. Engine start is similar easy like Mark 1.

I know, the coding of these levelers are a real nightmare. I donīt know, if it is possible to do. But worth to try it out.

I love the camera version, but, had a question. Is there a possibility of having a view for the model with the camera that displays a camera view? It would be neat to set up an orbit and use the camera.

Can't wait for the Mk2. Mk1 is great, but, I look forward to improved visibility over the cowl.

Thanks for what you have done and what you are working on.

Yes, my plan is to implement real observer devices like moving map and camera display in vc. And yes I will think about moose antlers... :wavey:

I did camera mount animation and a control device for my fs9 helicopters some years ago. The coding will work in FSX/P3D too. Some days ago I did a lot of informations about real camera using on planes. It would be great to get at least a shared cockpit version, which allows connected people flying together online - one as pilot, and one as observer.

Perhaps there are people around here, who are willing to test Soloy Mark 1 V2 flying online together in shared cockpit conditions. Nobody reported this yet.

The first version is already my default General Aviation airplane despite owning a lot of payware etc. I cannot wait until this new RR version. The paint schemes alone on the more modern version are great if you do any googling.

This is Freaking fantastic work. So appreciative of all you freeware developers/programmers and painters and your amazing talents.

How do you stop the amphibian on the water? It seemed the only way it would stop is to shut down the engine entirely.

Whenever you pull the throttle all of the way back there is a beeping sound. Are there any more detail instructions other than what are in the V2.0 operating manual?

The plane fly's very nicely.

Just pull back the throttle. The water rudder is the Johnson bar between the seats. The beeping sucks, but, it is because the gear isn't down. Dunno how to stop that when landing on water.
The plane does make a little power when at idle though.

Lacking reverse thrust, that is about right.

You can try feathering the prop.

Whenever you pull the throttle all of the way back there is a beeping sound.

Look in the aircraft.cfg for the [gear_warning_system] section.

If gear_warning_available is set to 1, try 2.

If it is 2 set it to 0.

Sorry, don't have it on this laptop so I can't test.

Nice work, but I was expected a bush fly version for short airstrips

This is the ultimate bush flying version exactly for short airstrips (think of the drag). After the seats, there is next to all the spy and communication electronics very small room for a hunting rifle or a fishing rod...

... and the best, with this bird, you can open the eyes of other pilots and female pilots who wants to meet you in the bush (for fishing or hunting, of course!). For sure. :adoration:

Thomas

Donīt worry about normal nice bush flying versions - with normal or big wheels, ambhibium etc. The thrust reverse is working great. But before going to final and model the normal versions, I have to find solutions for very specific power and condition levers handling.

LOL. I actually saw a lot of pics of icing testing on a model forum (sorry for the off topic, but your comment reminded me of this). IIRC they included the C-12 and RC-12. They dyed the water and a CH-47 would spray in front of the aircraft. They would watch the rime ice and how it would build up on the machine. Really neat stuff.

Now, back to the Mark 2! Daddy needs a Rolls powered Cessna!

Now I have time to say some words about process. Modelling work of Mark 2 is on schedule. You will get several models of Skydiving, Amphibium, Custom, Flir/Observer/Police, Tundra versions. With 3- or 5-blade propellers. All models will be ready for suites like F1 GTN, RXP Garmins or Bendix KLN-90B etc. The same like Mark 1.

New is Alexander Metzger, who made in the last months a very, very great job of creating fully new airfiles for Mark 1. They will come with the announced Mark1 V3 update first. His work on Mark 1 will be integrated in Mark 2 with the changes of different Rolls-Royce turbine. All models will have different flying characteristics. E.g. you will "feel" the difference of tundra wheel to a custom wheel version.

Update. Finished exterior models. There will be again several different models available. A package for FSX, P3D to P3DV3 and a different package for P3DV4 due of native compiling reasons and new VC sound 64bit. Next step is integration of airfiles in VC displays (non linear working animation of needles to show exact engine parameters), integration of a missing DME and the work of a condition leveler. So do not expect a release in the next weeks/months?!? Things are going very slowly due of real time/profession duties. But it is time to show some new pictures of different models.

Little update, work on Mark 2 is going on since Mark 1 V3 release is done. Solved same issues of past Mark 1 also in Mark 2 with engines behaviors. Alexander Metzger is doing Mark 2 airfiles, too. On my to do list is a fully integration of F1 G500/600 in VC (3D-bezel and software integration, user control backlighting etc. are already done), Heretic gave me a glue for working GPU/APU with soundsets and raineffects (perhaps only FSX) and other stuff.

All the new things will go to Mark 1, too, another update V4 is on schedule.

I think it makes no sense... There is no need about a Guardrail training aircraft. It is fictitious. And it is so much work to adapt all the new stuff in a new model. I donīt know if it is worth.

Quick question the G1000 cockpit version, would it require an add-on GPS package like those from flight 1 or would the default G1000 work with it?

TiAr
February 13th, 2018, 10:23
Good question, today a fully F1 G500/G00 integration in all versions is workable - you can switch whole glass cockpit parts with displays, frames and switches via config window on or off, it is very nice and comfortable for users, who have it. But you donīt need any of this payware stuff. If you swith off the glass cockpit, you have the steam clock style. To build another glasscockpit style like standard G1000 is really much work and not very handy.

Quick question the G1000 cockpit version, would it require an add-on GPS package like those from flight 1 or would the default G1000 work with it? At present Soloy doesn't offer the turbine conversion with a G1000 due to Cessna maintaining proprietary software agreements that they for obvious reasons won't share with others. I would have really liked to see them put one or two in though.
