While usually flying the 738, 77L and 744, I have recently developed an addiction to the feel of flight, low and slow, as portrayed in the An-2.

I keep searching for something, anything, that will feed this addiction; and so I turn to you dear SOH member, to provide guidance in these uncharted waters. As soon as FSL releases the A320 for P2D that will occupy me for quite a while... in the mean time...

I am fond of the Aerosoft Twotter (v2) for my St. Maarten, St. Barts, Saba runs, and have flown her in the Orbx PNW world as well... but I am looking for the TOTAL opposite of modern commercial aviation and so....

YoYo's screenshots of the Storch attracted my attention recently..... which one is the best for P3D v3.4?

Would you please offer your suggestions for the next portions of my Alaskan meanderings?

I am looking for SUPERB flight modeling, followed by SUPERB VC FUNCTION & DETAIL, followed by a good model WITH GOOD VC VISIBILITY and decent STOL performance. Yes, I am difficult to please, but quite smitten with my Anushka which allows for my Orbx explorations and soothes my need to feel air beneath me ;)

Any suggestions will be carefully considered, and appreciated!

Best- Carl

In terms of "feeling of flight" one of the best I've experienced recently, combined with good taildragger "vices" simulation was the A2A T-6. With accusim all systems work as advertised. Being a low wing though visibility below is a bit limited.

A native Alaskan flyer is the Piper SuperCub. The models by Flight Replicas are very nice and FDEs are done by the FDE guru, Bernt Stolle. Having flown the real deal I can attest to their accuracy. Visibility is also great. For even simpler but slower alternative you can also try the A2A J-3 Cub. With these you can wear your huge tundra tires and try your hand landing and taking off from river shores and small clearings, virtually anywhere.

All above work fine in P3D 3.x.

All that waiting for the ultimate bush plane, the Milviz Beaver.

The Sibwings Birddog is a perennial favorite of mine for bouncing around Orbx PNW and SAK, and has great dynamics and functionality. I run FSX-A, not P3D, so I'm not sure if it's fully compatible with P3D 3.4. Someone else might be able to comment on that.

There's also the A2A Cub, as Dimus mentioned above. It also matches your criteria, as long as you're not in a hurry to get anywhere. Be sure to get the Accusim addon (https://a2asimulations.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=37&zenid=e63b0bc20b250cad257edf90903abc8a)in addition to the base pack (https://a2asimulations.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=36&zenid=e63b0bc20b250cad257edf90903abc8a).

I'll admit to a weakness for the Fairchild 24 (http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Fairchild_24.html) by Lionheart, maybe not superb, but still...

but I agree on the T-6 and Cub as well.
Now, if someone were to do a Norseman...

I keep thinking the O-1 would be a good idea next...if it's 1/2 as good as Sibwing's An-2 it will be an excellent platform for exploration of the Orbx world! Does it work in P3D v3.4 without issue and are there any other suggestions before I pull the trigger?

The Storch keeps me wondering... and am I just missing out on some other great ones.... after all, you don't know, what you don't know... and THAT'S WHERE YOU (the experienced SOH member) come in, please...

Thanks all!

@ Bjoern- I did buy the Winjeel to support Ant..... it's good....

@MarkH- The Wilga looks great, and it's by Octopus, who are now re-doing the An-2 in their style... promising. Has anyone successfully installed into P3D v3.4?

Ta!
