Stepping into a brand new area for me which is scenery design and this is my first project. Welcome to Hemet Ryan X obviously based on Hemet Ryan airport in Hemet, CA. Ive asked around to different developers to see if they had interest in this airport and none have so like everything else if I cant find someone to do it Ill teach myself. Ive grown up pretty much my whole life on this airport mainly at the airtanker base portion. Used to be the "Home of the Top Mud" until 1997 when the Forest Service was relocated to San Bernardino. This is also where I earned my Private Pilots license back in 2009 so it will always hold a special place with me. Here are some photos of my progress and all objects are custom built and photo textured. Enjoy

Wow that looks fantastic tanker guy! Count me in for a download when finished. I love the airtanker bases. I did my own homebrew Fox Field with a Forest Service base complete w/ phoscheck pits. It's nothing special just made from stock objects but I felt the tanker base was an important part of the field. Kudos to all the tanker pilots (and helo pilots) that protect us.

Wow, great work. Also spent lots of time in Hemet. At one time I thought they were going to put a fence around the town and make it 55+.

Also spent time at the tanker base in Ramona and O-22 in Columbia.

Anyway, that's payware quality you're doing there.

Coming out quite beautifully. Can't wait to add this on my frequent flyer program.

just to put it out there, French airport in Temecula would also be a worthy idea for those so inclined.

Thanks for for your hard work,
Bob

Thanks Ted and Bob, depending on how this goes French Valley airport is possibly the next on the list. Ive flown into there many times (real life) and drive by it all the time on the way to work.

I had the same problem with Gillespie Field (KSEE) so I made my own too. I tried to use only stock items though for simplicity of others, but if someone wants to do a custom one you'd have no complaints from me.

It looks good. Don't forget the MiG 21 and F-5.

My first student cross country was to Hemet Ryan and I've been to French Valley for $100 hamburger a number of times.

I definitely wont forget the Mig or F5 haha. Ive never been to Gillespie Ive flown over it a couple times on my way to Montgomery Field. That was part of my second cross country.

Built a few heavy metal objects to load up the base. Here are some more WIP shots.

This is indeed looking great! You are fortunate to have such a high resolution ground image. You seem to have done great work with the color correction and your objects are fantastic.
