Looks very nice! I also see the BAC 111 and VC-10 are coming along very nicely as well.

I hope the gunsight will be collimated, not like addons from FS2002-2004 ;) :

Well, we think it's special Ian but heaven forbid that we stop you from doing anything you'd rather do.:engel016:

Well, to be fair, you're only reinforcing his concern ... :a1310::biggrin-new:

Just kidding.

Looking forward to this - 50s jets are always welcome, and with a broad repaint potential, should hopefully do well for you.

Best regards,

dl

The F.8 Meteor is a classic. I often go to Temora Aviation Museum http://www.aviationmuseum.com.au/index.html to watch their Meteor fly. Beautiful aircraft, superb in flight.

At a special throttle setting the Meteor on fly-by produces special sound, called a 'Blue Note'. It's a really odd. deep rumble. Gives me chills every time I hear it.

Bazz, will the Aeroplane Heaven Meteor produce this sound? Please, please say yes! :applause:

The model looks really great!

Normally the virtual cockpits of the JF/AH models are already reason enough for me to purchase them. They somehow give me the feeling of really being there.

Cheers,
Huub

That sound you are referring to is the harmonics that are created by air flow -at a particular speed- over the shell casing dispenser tubes located under the fuselage.

She is quite a sound indeed.

Anybody knows if the F.8 version that was used by FAB (Brazil Air Force) is the F. Mk.8? Any differences? I think it is but i´m not familiar with the "Mark's" conversion. Thanks.

I believe that the Brazilian Air Force did the have F.8s. In 1952 the received 60 F.8s and 10 T.7s.

The only noticeable thing to me is the that the Brazilian Air Force Meteors had the larger engine intake cowl -this model has the smaller one. Australia had changed their Meteors to the larger intake too.

Cheers,
Tim.
