These are sold as Dell brand, but as you can see they are Western Digital drive. Labeled as Raptor, but 80GB instead of the usual 36GB or 74GB.

I have 2 WD 10,000 RPM SATA 80 GB Drives running @ 150 MHz
real screamers.

Personally, I'm swearing off WD drives for a while...they seem to be having a "Deathstar" complex in the QA department lately. I've had to replace four DOA 7200rpm WD this year. (Two mine and two for coworkers).

I traded a 160 GB Maxtor 133 MHz IDE for my 2 sata drives.
this guy special ordered them and when they came in he noticed it was SATA, opps he did not have sata on his board, and I was at the computer store gabbin with my buddy the owner, and I offered to make a trade, lol, he went for it. Old for NEW, lol

Thats not that bad of a price either. I have two of them and knock on wood no problems yet. They run fast and can load fast too.
