Haven't heard about this?
Then I would like to draw your attention to a pretty new free tool for VFR flight planning called "VfrFlight".
Meanwhile in version 2.05
vfrflight.org/en/index.html (http://vfrflight.org/en/index.html)
This is another complex flight planning tool and in strong competition with PlanG. Different kind of maps are selectable, even the well known "Skyvector" VFR-maps.
Aircraft/Flight path of course is displayed.
The use of this software needs a thorough familiazation i.e. working through the manual/documentation.
The software also allows even the import of the well known "userwaywaypoints" (PlanG style).
