"I will return, so be ready with coffee, your report, and my hanger cleaned and swept!" You'll find the Coffee Pot in the ready room, the brooms in the utility cupboard and we senior Non Coms never do no 'reports'! :173go1:

That Typhoon is bloody horrible! Their Tempests are good but you need to hunt up repaints as the stock versions look like junk yard dogs! The very best of the pack is the Hawker Fury, out-bloody-standing. FCS Hurricane is pretty good and the one packaged with their awful Stuka is a different variant to the Hawkers Heroes pack. Both the Lancaster and Wellington are well worth owning but avoid the truly appalling Sunderland!!!!!!! :pirate:

Genau Papi! :biggrin-new:. And thank you for the document on the German airfields :encouragement: When I was in the Air Force, the Netherlands still had 11 military airfields. And nearly all of them were developed by the Germans is WWII. This was a bit ridiculous for a small country like the Netherlands. Wwhen I was stationed at Ypenburg (Flugplatz Den Haag) near The Hague, I could see the aircraft take of from NAS Valkenburg (Fliegerhorst Katwijk) (roughly 13.5 km/8.3 miles in a straight line). Cheers, Huub

I saw the plane design one, thought it looked a bit average for my tastes. yep the p-40 went freeware. http://www.irissimulations.com.au/hangar/free-flight-simulator-aircraft/classics-p-40-warhawk I was looking at the hawker heroes, looks good. So the crap one from the package is the typhoon?

Sorry Sarge, I'm a bit confused. With changes to the X,Y and Z parameters in the gunstation the gun flashes are correctly placed. Are you telling me that the placement of the gun flash in guns will create the origin for the bullet stream from that weapon?

This has not really to do with this Achmer or the Munich, but a while back I realised that Windows10 (and perhaps also older versions) doesn't show everything when you do a search. Especially in hidden system directories, Windows search doesn't work properly. I use a small tool called "Everything" which also searches these hidden areas. In the past had many unclear problems which were caused by a hidden directory called "virtual store" where Windows creates a sort of back-up. It seems to be caused by a Windows routine which prevents read and write file in the same directory as executable files. This routine was introduced under Windows7, however for me it only started to cause problems under Windows10. Therefore I advise you (Papi) to download this tool and check whether these .bgl...

Also tried a couple of FDG2 Hellcat skins for VF-9. Lot's of texture mesh distortion, so difficult to get stars & bars to look right from all angles. I agree with Captain Kurt, Allen's reworked stockers are a better start point for the Hellcat at the moment...

Couple of screenshots by way of a :bump: Donationware SBD-5 from VB-9 ... Whilst painting this I discovered the lower LOD texture mapping is screwed up, so you get weirdness like mirrored tailfin numbers as the aircraft moves away from you - oh well:banghead:

The paints of JanKees look a bit rough on my machine, a bit grainy. I noticed the these are in DXT-1 format. Changing them with DXTBmp to DXT-5 888-8 32-bits makes everything crisp and clear. :wavey: Cees

The tablet must have wifi and be an Android one - download app from google play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.stryder_it.simdashboard&hl=en_US PC must have wifi or be connected to the router. Just tested - works fine with my phone, not too small for me. Could admin change title to have OR PHONE at the end of the title of the first post?

Many years ago I did a rendition of the first plane my Dad made. At the time the one version I could not get right was the last on he made, which I consider his Magnum Opus. The issue had to do with the ability to get a good render of polished aluminum. I am able to do that now. I have also got to the point of doing cool stuff like AO shading. After he passed away I had to go back and revisit the original. Here are some pics of my tribute project. The original The model

I don't own a tablet, so help me understand how this works. Is it using a USB cable connection like my 12 Button Joystick, or does the computer need Bluetooth or WiFi to get commands from the tablet?
