The red light comes from the use of the F18 VC. I posted a hack to remove it when the model was first released. I'm not at my PC at the moment so I can't check the details, but if you can find the original thread the info should be in there.

Hi All I'm on it. Thanks guys. I have a working model with an alpha part. The alpha is the support for the searchlight. As you have suggested, a separate bitmap, was the go. (especially as my main bitmap has 'black' pixels and did that cause some funny results:icon_lol:) I did use DXT1, but I will follow your suggestions, Allen and use DXT3. When I say a working model, the texturing is basic and the DP is from a mahan class destroyer. I opened the DP editor for the first time today. Looks like another can of worms. Thanks for the offer to do the DP John, I will email all the bits to you, once I tinker with the forward portholes (they look a bit too big, ok on a luxury liner, but not a warship)

...... it is not ready yet..... we wanted to fix the inverted texture.... and also due to other work the installer and doc wasn't ready in time.... working on it NOW. Some GOOD news to go with it too though......... we'll release it for FREE after all...... charging 5 Euros is more work in administrating and labor than it would bring us..... so lets just say that owners of the full package (which IS a prerequisite !) just got lucky, hmmmmm ? :wavey:

The last picture we saw from the Ladybird book was of those jolly Lake Victoria boatmen, but we're getting a bit ahead of it having already reached Kenya. Still in Uganda, this was the third page of text: You'd want to strangle John with his notebook full of 'facts', wouldn't you? Anyway, we all learn a few selected ones there. Daddy's remark that the natural world is 'like a zoological gardens turned loose' is breathtakingly arrogant if you think about it. But there is some progress: before WW2 Daddy would certainly have had to shoot a few wild animals for trophies to prove to Mummy that they'd been there, and he would probably have let John bag a couple of impala too. The illustration confirms that the book has a big emphasis on education:

Heya TJ, Well done! I think this was an outstanding "experiment", particularly given the nature of Accusim with the accumulated wear and tear on the airframe. I do have to laugh, though: those compression ratio values (yes, I have both versions of A2A Mustangs) are sooooo low (my 2V Ford 289 records 115 PSI). I guess the Rolls-Royce guys knew that high boost (60"!!!) would frag a high-compression engine, ergo the low compression ratio. Again, well done. I want to retry portions of the Low Course with my RealAir Duke, but the Civilian Mustang would certainly be fun from Kalispel down to Jackson Hole! JKH

Took off in the same aircraft as the night before, with the same light fuel load. Oooooh. Once I realized this in the air I took it easy on the fuel flow, calculating in my head and on the screen, and figured, no sweat. But, something to watch in the future: make sure you have enough fuel to make the flight (had 8% left in tanks on landing - kind of close). I have had an absolute blast doing this! I did not crash, although I came close, and have discovered that I enjoy the "purpose" of flying: Flight planning, fuel management, etc. Looking forward to repeating some of the more colorful (ORBX) legs using the RealAir Duke and Legacy. Thank you all! Mister Moses, Paul, the Great Ozzie, and finally, Miss Murphy.

I watched the music video for "Clouds" and the documentary, but I still wanted to know more. I checked out his Caring Bridge page. You can see everything there, from his diagnosis, treatments, his music career, to when he passed away. It is surreal in many ways. It makes me appreciate my life even more. I never heard of him before a few days ago but he made an impact on my life and has started to change my outlook on death. A coworker's son was diagnosed with Leukemia in February this year. Zach's story gave me some insight into what my coworker must be dealing with. I hope their story ends differently. I am thankful cancer doesn't really run in either of my parents' families. It seems a whole lot of people are affected by it nowadays. RIP Zach. The world needs more people like you. :engel016:

Well, this was interesting... First things first: Tracking-URL: (Flight-ID: vzlmKMnuEviN2rCxzNwZ1DICbQ) http://fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?detail=flight&value=vzlmKMnuEviN2rCxzNwZ1DICbQ Since my poor flight planning took us to the wrong airport (O22 in Sonora versus O68 in Mariposa), I offered to treat Salesboy to dinner and drinks. Did you know there are tequila bars in Sonora? Did you know that there are ... ladies of leisure at these bars? Well, Salesboy definitely cannot handle his tequila, and was no danger to the ladies, and after I thanked them for helping me pour him into a cab, we stayed the night in Sonora. After a rip-roaring morning of praying to the Porcelain God, followed by lots and lots of coffee and breakfast (followed by more prayer sessions), we got loaded up for a late evening flight south to our real destination, O68 Mariposa. Pretty time of day for a flight, and Salesboy was quiet. All was good.

Ok boys, here are the numbers. Duenna played nice for this last leg here. Feel free to analyze the numbers. I hope you guys can work her in to the RTW race and future SOH races. I did not push the P-51 during this trip thanks to accusim. I cruised at 43" 2500 RPM for all legs. A few of the legs I flew via navaids for the fun of it, and one leg I threw her around a bit to test duenna's response. As you can see, apart from worn brakes, the Merlin handled the course just fine since she wasn't pushed too hard. Fuel weight: 865.0 lbs (-237.0 lbs) 237*.06=0:14:13

Well I managed to squeeze the A2A Spit IIB into 98TE - it's really short and rough; you really need to take advantage of the uphill slope, and be careful on the brakes so you don't nose over when you hit bumps. I don't know how long the runway is, but it's a real challenge for a very small, mountain strip. Kinda dark, dawn pics, but some good detail if you click on them. Of course you can't hear the birds chirping :)

I did every thing suggested...finally resorted to uninstalling which was a major deal and now I can't re-install...I'm about ready to toss this software in the trash. I have Win8...what a pain for reinstalling. I have deleted every little bit form the registry as suggested in the guide I found here...and still I keep getting this error 1628 cuz the damn thing will not reinstall...I set up anther user account..it still won't re-install. I have to say, FS9 and XP was a great setup...this computer runs FSX great...I don't know what happened but I guess I'm learning things about it I di not know till now. I've been at this all day with 0 results... I understand about saving the default flight...but I can't get the engines running. Anyway, I have un-installed FSX for the moment. Now if I can figure out how to re-install it, I'll be amazed. I don't know why the guys at MS had to make the newer machine be so damn complex to do a simple task. I bought the sim and the computer and should be able to do what I want with both without having to go thru all the aggravation.

The learning curve is steep. Most people started with FSDS then graduated to gMax and some on to Max and now there are other CAD programs such as Blender that are being used. Then there is a paint program to master and the techniques needed for your textures. Add to that C++ or XML gauge programming and don't forget the flight dynamics in the CFG and AIR files. And what about that sound file and then some special effects? And there is all the research time and in some cases monies involved to get the information needed for the model. All these things have been around since before FSX and now P3d but what has happened is the "Sim Community" has become jaded. We want the more highly detailed, high complexity models that FSX allows. For an individual designer, especially someone just starting out this can be extremely daunting and takes far more dedication then most are willing or able to give towards a hobby. Payware companies have teams of several people and a monetary incentive. Hummm? I wonder why there are very few freeware FSX native aircraft?

Talk about A Super star...Great Athlete,..Being its a silent movie..no need for expletive deletes!..Lloyd's career was not all laughs, however. In August 1919, while posing for some promotional still photographs in the Los Angeles Witzel Photography Studio, he was seriously injured while holding a prop bomb thought merely to be a smoke pot. It exploded and mangled his hand, causing him to lose a thumb and forefinger. The blast was severe enough that the cameraman and prop director nearby were also seriously injured. Lloyd was in the act of lighting a cigarette from the fuse of the bomb when it exploded, also badly burning his face and chest and injuring his eye. Despite the proximity of the blast to his face, he retained his sight....When I was a kid he was still a big star ....Vin!
