Just added to the library: two FSX/P3D Beverleys (130 MB): The Blackburn Beverley was a four-engined, medium-range high-capacity transport. Its first flight took place in June 1953 and a total of forty- seven aircraft were built. The Beverley had an outstanding ability for packing and dropping heavy loads of up to 22 tons and, aided by powerful propeller reversing and a sturdy fixed undercarriage, it was able to land and take off at very small and makeshift airstrips. Employed on a wide variety of military and humanitarian missions, for the ten years of its active service life it was the R.A.F.'s proverbial no-nonsense workhorse. To date, only one Beverley survives as a museum piece (whose fate hangs in the balance). The model comes with an ILS and GCA-capable VC, variable...

Good morning, Not to start things off on a sour note, but I think Stuart Green's site went the way of the dodo, so I may have to create another legacy section. We use the Betty quite a bit, among others. Could someone check for me, and if it is down, so people have the original downloads? :santahat: Thanks,

Flying for Fighter Command with Daiwilletti's new version of MrJmaint's classic campaign! Having always had an abiding interest in the Battle of Britain, I was delighted to read here on Sim Outhouse that Pat_Pattle's BoB mod is coming in for attention, as mentioned here. Also that Daiwilletti was working on a 'new package' for MrJMaint's BOB campaign for the ETO. Having got Daiwilletti's package working (after a few hitches of my own making) I decided to re-start my ETO-BoB campaign with it, applied as a JSGME mod to automate most of the installation steps. Quick Combat actions can be a lot of fun, and campaigns based on historical mission sets very engaging, but I agree with Daiwilletti that there is also a lot to be said for CFS3's dynamic campaign. It's a bit less anonymous than...

So, I've been using the Virtual Navy / Lazarus Coral Sea modded to be a late '50's FDR to put together the '57/'58 Med Cruise my dad participated in. Are there any SCB-110 FDR (Midway class) models around? I haven't found any. (I'm thinking the SimWorks '65 Coral Sea might fit the bill, but I haven't found any pictures of it to confirm). I saw a reference to USN Deck Equipment created by Lazarus, but it seems to be gone from the library here? If anyone knows any freeware static models of the following planes I'd appreciate that as well. In the meantime, I've been creating textures for examples of most of the following squadrons:

On the positive side: our hobby has a lot of followers, which is good. On the other side:I'm wondering why? Members donated more than 10.000 dollars, and this is the result? Personally I encounter this far too often imho. Not to criticize the people that run this site, but I would like this to be clarified. Cheers, Cees

The Super Cub has been released! To go to the website: http://www.flight-replicas.com/ This should hopefully go well with ORBX's new Washington State scenery - among others! :) Happy exploring. Hope you like it. Mike

I am sure we have been here before but I really do need 2 kinds of aircraft in the player's flight so that the wing-men can attack which the player can't; or of course visa versa would work as well. Now interestingly, after I made a mission in mb with all the same ac, I went in and changed them in the xml. CFS3 didn't like that much as CTD's until I deleted the uisel file in the appdata folder and started again. Then I did get into the mission but, lo and behold, all the ac were the same as the players but the missions xml still showed 2 kinds of ac!:dizzy: Anyone know of a work around for this? There really were squadrons with different aircraft, each of which had different roles; as in this Turbinlite squadron I am testing out.:wiggle:

I’m in need of some help please. When I try to close FSX it shuts down then after about 10 seconds an error message flashes on the screen too fast to read and then a banner pops up saying due to an error FSX is restarting. It restarts. i use it without error or any problems while in sim. The problem only occurs during normal shut down. I’ve tried shutting down in different ways always with same result. i checked the windows error logs which shows the error to be caused by the FSX panel.dll. I tried substituting the stock unmodified panel.dll but got the BSOD. The current and stock dll both have the same date and size. I think it all started about the time I reloaded the SWS Midway Battle Group. Don’t know that is what’s causing this. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in...

Hi everybody, just noticed in my P3Dv4.5 that my F-4E (Advanced version...) shows a bad behaviour after take off. She is shying like a startled horse and I am not able to get her back into a smooth flight. Anybody else who noticed this behaviour? It's the first time that I want to fly her in P3Dv4.5 and I am a little shocked about this.... The non-advanced version in 4.2 was a trusty workhorse, but not this one....:dizzy:

Just installed the recent SWS PBR Phantom update. It looks, as did the last install, very matt and greyish. Is this how it's supposed to look with PBR? Isn't PBR supposed to give a more dynamic shine to the textures? Frankly, I wonder why I paid for an upgrade just to have a PBR version if this is the result. Also, I have lost catapult functionality on the SWS Coral Sea (that no longer comes with the PBR F-4) with their F-4 and all other aircrafft. Promissed fixes have not materialised. I have to say this is all disappointing. At least there is a good freeware Phantom around . .

We have a good stable of british bombers, some older models and others imports from cfs2 that are lacking in detail. Of the following any desires to have them redone Hadley Page Halifax Armstrong Whitworth Whitney I am leaning toward the Whitney since the pit is very basic, but just a thought And no on the Lancaster. Manchester still flying from the far east so it is taking a while to get here.

I have CFS3 up and running. Installed BoB, Runs fine but a couple of questions please How can I get rid of the grey square where the gunsight should be on the ME109? How can I get the cannons to fire on the ME109? Also now I have BoB installed I appear to have lost the stock CFS3 aircraft missions etc. Is that correct? Thanks

Given the great posts recently showing the BoB campaign in ETO, I've knocked together a package which I think should improve campaign play. http://www.mediafire.com/file/7gngezvbo13p2pz/ETO_BoB.zip/file If anyone would like to test it, the link is here. One of the things is an amended country.xml file so that extraneous nationalities' vehicles and parked aircraft do not show up at airbases and other facilities. But there are a number of other goodies. Tally ho!

AussieMan started a thread Bristol Beaufort in Prepar3D
Over the last few weeks I have had several inquiries from Aussie flight simmers regarding the Bristol Beaufort. This has come about because one is nearing completion to flying condition in Queensland. It has piqued their interest and they have asked if I knew of an FSX/P3D V4.5 model. The only one I know of is the old AlphaSim model from the late FS9 early FSX years. My question after such a long preamble is anyone interested of creating one for FSX/P3D? The Beaufort was used by the RAF in various roles early in WWII as well as the North African Desert war. It was also used as a Bomber by the RAAF with many built under licence by the Department of Aircraft production in Australia.

Hello to all, Well I have been away from this scene for some years now. I am looking at getting back to it but I won't be able to commit to it as I once did. That being said I am wanting to add to the CFS projects out there wherever my models will fit in the timeline. I went digging around the files I have managed to find and found a lot of stuff that was finished and added but also some stuff still barely in the making. I am going to complete the two Mossies that I started way back in in 2006 and stopped building in 2008. Below are two images I have just taken in Gmax:
