Sorry gray eagle and everybody else. My link to scenerydesign.org and Model Converter X is correct but my version is wrong. Arno says that the latest stable version IS version 1.3. I DO have a beta version too but its not 1.65 its 1.4. My descriptions above were done in Version 1.4 and I am going to go and find that because Version 1.3 HAS different Attach Point parameters. Here is the link to the Development Release Version 1.4. https://www.scenerydesign.org/development-releases/ The differences are: Hard Platforms for Flight Simulator Boats and Ships July 2020

Let's get back to putting the platform where it belongs. The correct values by trial and error are: Attach Point Name: port catapult Position: (-10.00;-90.00;8.00) Rotation:(0.00;0.00;10.00) Misc.

More progress.... Still working on the roadways. Here is Port-en-Bassin. It is not perfect, but is close to the maps and photos I've researched. It is GSL, as are the cliffs to the west of Omaha Beach. I've also gotten all of the railroad and roadway bridges placed. I have placed most churches and cathedrals. Once done with the cities and villages, I will GSL them as well.

:pirate: Hi ya all. Just added some pictures of the C-130 during our test flights, these were taken by our chase plane, reason, I guess just to make sure we didn't get into trouble. Now, how in the heck would a chase plane be able to helps us in the case of any of the systems quitting! Hehe maybe just to pickup the pieces.:pop4::playful:

The boxed editions are just being released in Europe, not US. But if you really want the discs/manual, you some of the EU retailers will ship to the USA.

This video shows why it is nice to have a game controller, like an Xbox One controller I use, in additional one's normal stick/yoke/throttle/rudder pedal controllers, for use of the "Showcase/Drone" camera. Also note in this video all of the ambient sounds you can hear in the various environments, which changes based on where you're at around the world, what's happening around you, and what time of day it is (birds singing on a bright sunny day, absent when it's storming, crickets chirping or toads croaking by night depending on your location, etc.). This is all default, as it comes.

For me they could call it FSX2, FSX anything and as long as it being actively developed that would make me happy.

I'm sorry, but that's a hugely open ended question. It's impossible to understand what you mean. My guess would be you installed FSX into the C:\Program Files (x86) directory, and you don't have administrator privileges, so you're not being allowed to edit files. But having no understanding what you mean that you "can't add repaints", it's a really impossible question to answer. Please add some more detail to what your problem is. Do you mean you can't edit the aircraft.cfg file? Do you mean you can't add directories to the aircraft directory? What are your error messages? What is your configuration and where have you installed FSX? So... tip number 1, same as has always been since XP, you're better off installing FSX to it's own directory somewhere else on your machine,...

Here is my way and I think the correct way to put the "hard deck" platform onto the catapult on that battleship or cruiser like Ed just did on the Iowa above. I tried to post this once this morning but the server got too busy and I lost all of it so here goes again. Download Model Converter X created by Arno at Scenerydesign.org : https://www.scenerydesign.org/modelconverterx/ referred to as MDCx. You will have a zip folder in your Downloads. I unzipped it onto my desktop and then moved it to Windows 7 Programs(86) since it is a 32bit program. Now select the program and put a shortcut on your desktop. This is of course if you don't have it already and for those who are not familiar with this. Onto the tutorial: Open up MDCx and you will get this screen: in the tool bar at...

With my apologies to Duckie I need help with FSX A in Windows 10 too. After years happily working with Windows 7 adding and or deleting Aircraft I find with 10 I cannot add repaints to an existing aircraft. Please has anyone got a cure for this?
