NC, both my Default P3DV4.5 and 5.1 look like yours. With Art Poole scenery no issue's, Orbyx doesn't have any KSGJ in there Global. Most puzzling??

Yeah, it is effective until the tailwheel comes off, then the excessive torque & p-factor becomes an issue (it is way overcooked). I took note that the pilot in that video pushed the elevator full down to get the nose level as quickly as possible, then the Waco flew off with no rotation. He gave only very minor rudder correction and it stayed perfectly centerline. The three point landings though are a breeze.

Sadly this project died a while back with almost no chance that we'll ever see a study level Gulfstream. I happened to find the 3D model this project was based on for sale. Here's a chance to go down memory lane and see what might have been....:crushed: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/aircraft/private/gulfstream-g450-extended

yeah Rami I had issues with the scenery in this install from the beginning a few years ago .Never really got it right. I'm backing off for a while on this one and probably do a complete scenery install.

meantime you can use the tailwheel lock on takeoff and landing and only unlock it to taxi. Keep the tail wheel on the ground as long as possible on TO and always three-point the landing just above stall speed. You only need the rudder for a second or two with this method and it has full authority when you do

Ok. I helped a friend of mine finally get P3DV5.1 installed this evening. He is in North Carolina, and doesn't have internet. His installation is vanilla. No addons yet. He just sent me a screenshot of KSGJ St. Augustine, FL. On his pc, his scenery shows tower objects in the middle of a taxiway (his screenshots look grainy as he took it with his cellphone of his monitor) towers by retnavycpo, on Flickr However, on my pc, the scenery looks ok. The towers are there, but not on the taxiway. Any help? Advice? Thanks, NC towers KSGJ by retnavycpo, on Flickr

SMIDSY - a biker's worst nightmare - not made any better by arsewipes on cell phones! Almost run down on a pedestrian crossing a year or 2 back as a texting driver sailed through the lights....his mirror took a hiding though. Rami, there were 5 kids wiped out by a car on the footpath here in Australia last year - a family group going for ice creams - tragic. Good thing you trained your girl to concentrate on situational awareness - too few have that these days.

I wish I knew how to modify the air file/config to get some of this yaw/torque/P-factor over-instability dialed out but they way they have this thing set up (like some other FS2020 models), I can't find or figure out how to accomplish this. It tried to veer left then right and it is highly prone to over-correction from the rudder inputs. Watching that cockpit video, I see there's very little rudder dancing going on and the aircraft is super stable at power. Carenado certainly got this wrong. Otherwise, it flies pretty nicely.

No lozenge camo for the WingNuts profiles anyway. They show painted surfaces. The Windsock Datafile says that some late war manufactured had lozenge fabric wings, and include one official factory photo. But I haven't yet found any unit level photos that show a lozenge camo wing.

Martin, Some beautiful camos indeed, but it is likely that a lot of these had lozenged wings, paricularly the ones allocated to Marine units in 1918.

Agreed! I never had much use for MCX as an FSX or P3D user, but for someone wanting to use legacy planes in MSFS, it is pretty essential. This weekend I didn't convert any more planes, I just fixed bugs and got to know the flight characteristics of the ones I"ve already converted. I don't see the need to import any more. Using MCX I was able to get my Just Flight Chipmunk working in MSFS by eliminating visibility conditions. This one requires a few tweaks to the flight model but is a sweetheart. In the same way I got the Just Flight Mosquito FB.VI working. Now I have both fighter (Just Flight) and bomber (Garwood) Mosquitos available. Both give me the happiness feelings very! The Milviz F-86 converts pretty well to MSFS, but if you do a direct conversion, there's no way...

Man some of those shots are insane! Makes me want to get it right now. I heard there was a weird bug with the HDG bug...where as you turn it also turns? Has anyone tried an ILS with this (I know kinda weird) as the HSI appears to support it. I'm curious if like the Seminole, the GS balls don't show up.
