Hi Together, for a long time I am now trying to get the T-45 Goshawk from Dino working properly for the ILS carrier approach. No chance. Now I am surching help from somebody who knows how the HUD has to be set properly. The details. I am using P3D v4.5 HF3 on Win10. The fligh sim is newly installed. In addition I installed Javier Fernandez carriers together with aicarriers.net. All works fine, only I can't get the ILS working. I installed the ILS switch in the T-45 (window06) additionally, to make sure the ILS is switche on. I tried an ILS approach at EDDA (Augsburg), worked nearly perfektly, only the DME on the HUD did not show the distance. This was indicated at the NAV instruments. So, I would really highly appreciate if some expert could guide me to a wonderful ILS landing on...

I checked it out too and it is probably the same one because I don't like the VC either. I am not criticizing them because I just got through reading was is supposed to be a simple VC tutorial trying to figure out how to turn Munro's 2D panel into a VC. After the last few hours of not knowing up from down; have to use FS Design Studio which I DO have but gave up on confused a couple months ago...I do not have the patience to even attempt that VC. Munro in his PDF if I read it correctly gives permission to do this if anyone wants to attempt it. I'll continue to do the repaint and Doug Trapp has already sent me the files to make this a really nice aircraft.

I just thought I'd share this great website, Touching Cloud that I found. It's got converted versions of the default FSX Glider and Trike and it's also got "Kinetic Assistant" which is fantastic because it enables Glider aero tow, winch launch and aircraft carrier functionality to FS2020. It might also be possible if you run the beta version of the Virtual Fly software for MSFS that's available for download on their site. You'd have to run the software during your MSFS session. I haven't tried it myself - trying to avoid beta software in MSFS until at least some of the wonkiness in the core sim settles out. In the past I've usually just given up and assigned buttons to throttle decrease and throttle cut - F2 and F1 in FSX/P3D. But the VF module might be worth a shot. If it works, let us know. Hope this helps.

it has been indicated on the official MSFS forum that the AI air traffic bgl's may have been simply cut and pasted from FSX - along with incorrect airport names, flight plans, etc... if you want to test it - turn off AI air traffic or use 'Live Air Traffic' instead. Be sure to 'Apply and Save' the changes - then see if your flights are affected. FWIW I played around with intercepting AI traffic using the MB-339 and noted some irregularities. One in particular involved a King Air flying across the Nevada desert like a smuggler at around 150' AGL miles from any airfield. Apparently there are examples from the bgl file of aircraft with bizarre assigned altitudes, flying to and from airports that do not exist in MSFS but did exist in FSX or prior. I don't know if this test will...

No harm, no foul, no problem. And GREAT screenshots. I think you just helped sell me an Eagle. And like you, I'm really keeping an eye on that other project. Hope you have a great rest of the day.

Mmmmh, it may have been a bit too fast on the Alaskan one then. As for the props, I'm not sure what happens there. I have a busy week ahead, but hopefully next weekend I can find time to look at it, please be patient?

Hello The B24 Guy, Hello Captain Kurt, Thanks for your comments and the picture! Further progress done: Dp file, panel for default and FSFS gauges and 2 custom RPM ones, and the SCASMed virtual cockpit view. I had a bit of bother with SCASM, as it gave two strange blind-alley transformcalls, perhaps because of the high parts count. I just deleted the calls and it worked fine. Then, being an open cockpit, after correcting the pilotīs view-point, the VC view forward and sideways were no problem. The aft VC view required placing a call to the rear gunnerīs well and head in the virtual cockpit section, and that went OK too.

loving these paints, JanKees - thank you! I have noticed two small items on each that you probably are already aware of When the prop is spinning - on the prop center of both paints the center section of the Observer paint is two tone red over white when viewed at an angle from the front quarter (not shown here) - and the prop center on the the Alaskan is overall white when viewed from the same angle. Also on the Alaskan the black portion of the leading edge of the upper starboard wing is missing on the underside. For clarity - these paints were collected from Flightsim.to just this morning however - when viewed from the side in profile angle the proper wood grain color is visible even though as you see, there is white showing on either side of the prop center..

Ok thanks, guys, found it ! :biggrin-new: Like i said no arrows turning up anywhere but i was fooling around with the Project Editor window which is rather small and then suddenly saw something dark blue shimmering in the right bottom corner... Halleluja! A triangle shaped thingy with which i could resize the window, tried with the large Aircraft Select window and Low and Behold! there it was too. Big relief because i was really getting fed up with that huge black window all over the place. All great now, thanks again gents ! :ernaehrung004:

John, the overhead shot in the second-to-last pic - is that an addon for 0Q3? I've been disappointed that MSFS flattened the hangars where Chris Prevost keeps his Stearmans, but they would be just out of frame below the bottom of your pic. August

Hi Martin I'm only beginning to work with FSDS and there is a ton of things I don't know about its capabilities. I don't know if there is a similar function like this. Other than the basic controls, and basic functions like gear retraction, there is no documentation about its animation functions. From poking around the animation name lists, there seems like there would be more than a few different actions. The titles aren't very descriptive and unfortunately nothing is written about what they do, how to activate them or link them together. :banghead: It will take some serious dedicated experimentation and lots of time to figure some of it out. Maybe someday.

Milton, there are two extra folders "Grizzly Stuff" and "More Grizzly Stuff". They appear to contain files for the panel folder. No documentation, so I'm not sure if I ignore them or install them or, or, or... :adoration:

I managed to fix the VC glass texture but still don't have the gauges working in all the models (I know the patch only patches certain models). I do have the RealAir Spit too but definitely cannot rig the VC for the PD to the RealAir unfortunately. But nevertheless I have to it to a mostly 'flyable' standard and still enjoy flying it. The sounds are some of the best I've heard for a Spit in a sim.
