Hi Jankees, I tried the 'NARW-87 Oakland' paint in my FSX today. Exterior looks very nice, although a bit too glossy from some angles (maybe due to PBR ?), but in the VC, the frame around the sliding canopy and the 'oval' glass frame just above the HUD seem to have a bright 'silvery-white' glow, especially when VC light is turned 'on'. I really wish this paint was not-PBR as it is probably the most unique and breathtaking Banshee paint I have ever come across.

Note - I have already made one for Wings Over Flanders Fields (WOFF) and am making an even better one shortly for Wings Over the Reich (WOTR) so watch out for that :) They look better than the preview pictures below suggest. Why is it good? You can swap between games without needing to remember any keys at all as you can set one up for each game.Just run any game and go straight away. Quicker and easier than using a keyboard (not need to hold shift keys or look for a key).

There's also the Plane Design Lanc, https://secure.simmarket.com/plane-design-avro-lancaster.phtml Have them all, like them all, been to long to remember why though. Jamie PS. I quite liked the Iris P40, did it go freeware? PPS. There's also a few more First class Sim offerings, mainly Hurricanes, but the Wellington is nice. Avoid the Stuka unless you really want the accompanying Hurricane version. Also avoid the Sunderland, gads. The Hawker heroes pack is nice bar the Typhoon, ouch!! PPPS. There used to be a Tempest at Just Flight which was nice too, think it was by Chris Lampard, Shessi's bff.

Thank-you, for this, Alain. I will try your mod. Yes, me too. That's why it took me six days to discover this. I think this is a texture issue of sorts ... perhaps after a certain speed, the texture switches to a new black wheel version coded in the model somewhere. At least I know I installed everything correctly, since others are experiencing the same effect. No biggie.

Thank-you, Dave. Hopefully you can save the original, non-PBR version as well for us FSX users. JanKees' PBR models look nice exterior-wise in FSX, but the VC view is surrounded by a strange silvery-white metallic glow wherever the frame is for the canopy glass. I just wish he had non-PBR versions for these great paints of his.

I modeled a HAS 1 (1 engine 4 exhausts) for the '66 version of the Victorious which you're free to use. If you want a HU5 (twin engine 2 exhausts) I can probably mod it fairly quickly. Drop me a PM.

Hey, doing a deep dive into my old fs cds, and I came up w this. I bought this like a stone age ago. I was thinking of doing up a few paints for it, swap out the gauges for more 3d looking ones build up the sounds and flight model fix. I kinda like this thing, I never even flew it as I got too busy with university. Now I have some more time here and there I could probably do this over a few months or so. If it turns out good I will show you guys if you like it I will ask A2A if I can upload it some place for you.

Using MCX, I played the animation of the Banshee and noticed that the wings fold and the guns access panel opens. Is there a key assignment to open the gun panel or a switch in the cockpit?

    This is what I came up with. A nice, bright flashing beacon light just above the white light. I'm using a shockwave beacon light effect. //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit //light.1 = 3, 2.003, -18.50, 0.117, fx_navred , //light.2 = 3, 2.003, 18.50, 0.117, fx_navgre , light.0 = 4, 9.84, -0.4, 1.70, fx_vclight.fx
