Thanks UT, a useful target and landmark. Any chance of the wrecked SS Macduhui? :encouragement:

I should have checked before posting, but I found the answer in CC's Mission Builder Handbook at the very end of the chapter on Convoys and Formations. One of the frustrations of too many years, I guess. :banghead: Anyway, if you want them to follow a winding course, like a road, in column then the road convoy must have each vehicle's waypoints laid out separately along that course. I would assume the same applies for train cars as well. Cody also notes that like ships in this sim, if two or more vehicles occupy the same space, they will pass through each other harmlessly. I still have much to learn from the Handbook. :dizzy:

Greenhouse357, why I worry about 'trucks', especially the ones sold as 'Family Fun Vehicles' driven by Soccer Mums! :biggrin-new:

I think for the truck convoy you would need to plot the course to follow the road.for the railroad plot the course for the loco and then put the cars behind the loco and set it up like you would a task group of ships to follow the loco as the lead ship. You could probably do the same with the trucks. Either way you need to plot a course to follow. Not sure it will work, but it might so worth a try. TheBookie

I have tried to convert the De Schelde ds 21 and the Fokker D-XXIII they came out good with exception of the landing gear. The D21 front wheel sticks out until it is airborne. the D23 is the same when they are airborn the wheels are in the correct position. Has anyone converted these to work correctly? :encouragement: other than that the aircraft are great.

I have used some of FM guages for my JetStar II panel (not much though). I have the email for permission to use them still. He was very gracious and doubt he would object still. This is a FS9 version though. Greg

Another great looking car that we don't get in the U.S. Looking forward to when I can press my go peddle a little harder, as still running in. Only another 120 miles to go, but with everybody panic buying fuel in the UK will have to be go easy.

Just a little progress report. The main model and textures are done. Lots of fun painting the individual hexagons :playful:. I still have to do the VC and 2D panel, LODs, and the flight models to complete it.

Hi: I am building several missions both with moving road convoys and trains. I set both up as "convoys." My question is, whether that is good enough to have them follow along the road or track? Or must I plot each vehicle's or rail car's waypoints to keep them in column? Hmmm... :banghead:

Yes UT, Rami explained that to me the other day on Skype. I would love to see some horse-drawn supply wagons and some artillery and anti-tank, limbered and unlimbered. as well as any other equip that might be towed by horses. :applause: In another topic: I am finishing up building mission #21. It is a rid on Istres airbase by 4 Hellcats. From the setup, it looks like a fun mission and though I am currently flight testing only as far as mission 5, I will flight test this one next, because it looks like a fun mission. :wiggle::wiggle: It is a real "shoot-em-up" with a target rich environment and even 3 He-111s taking off. There's plenty of FLAK to dodge. Mission 21 is one of those that TheBookie recommended from Talon's work. I will post some screenshots. Oh, I solved my...

Thanks Dave. I've PM'd Archer374 over at, to ask if he could do anything with the VC and interior textures, and create better VC camera views. He's done dozens already and I have a few of them myself.
