There is a new social media out similar to Facebook, but catering to flight simulation. It is called “FlightNet” and seems to have just started up. Creating a profile or group is extremely similar to Facebook. I created a group for our VA yesterday in under five minutes. Maybe it will be a place to gather information or get help without all the trolls and smart a** comments. Go check it out.

Chris Horner already announced that a decision should be taken about who will be the driver next Max Verstappen in the next season. So the chance Alexander Albon will still be in this seat seems to be very small. Pierre Gasley is really in the flow with Alpha Tauri and doesn't want to leave this team. Silly season has already started and all names, which are logical or simply aren't logical at all, are already mentioned. But any name mentioned at this moment is just a wild guess. Cheers, Huub

Alex, It's a complete rebuild, although using a number of original parts. You could say, it's a new Fokker D.21. They have a Facebook page ;)

Daan, is this a restoration project of a "real" airframe? Or a complete rebuild? Man, now I want that real one so bad on my balcony:redfire: The last time I came across it I only knew about the Fokker G1 project, totally slipped my observation there was this beauty in progress!!! Regards Alex

Hi, about TH Warthog and T.A.R.G.E.T. - yes, I use it in MSFS and in any my sim (even for each DCS module, each module has its own profile). No any problem with keys, buttons ect. and what is good if you create a profil, you can install / unistall simulators but you have created profil always, so its very ease to to recreate all settings in few minutes (just axis). So in my Warthog I dont use any Button, but I work with "virtual" keyboard attached to my HOTAS. So for exampe - 1 button for works as for example Alt+1 (so user view in MSFS) and ect. Just what I noticed its a small issue with TARGET and .... MS Store, dont know why, but this problem was described on DCS Forum also. MS Store blocks some of scripts of TARGET. The solution is to open MS Store and close it (so easy thing), after...

Keith, Thanks for that! Reading the story by Didier, I doubt if we get it sorted now. I might shed some light on the hierarchy. @lagaffe, does it matter what the original size is of the clickspot (in FSX) was? The clickspots of the canopy are of course on large objects, but I'm curious if a simple, small switch clickspot will also cover the entire screen. Cheers, Daan

The F & G afterburner shockwave cones are identical to those of the E model, as they were copied right over from the E. For some reason, when doing so, my software turned off their emissive settings and I hadn't noticed in the update. That was the only difference. The image I took probably looks different due only to my different sim or PC settings, not because the effect is any different itself.

The tail is the one from a Blackburn Skua and the fuselage still has its Gloster shape (compare it with the Gladiator). The aircraft already had a teardrop canopy, which was quite ahead of its time. Gloster's moment of fame still had to come with the allied's first operational jet fighter; the Meteor. I always liked the model. Bill Holker made the source files available for anyone who wants to finish it. Cheers, Huub

Found some of my notes and they said to "replace" (not overwrite) the assets and terrains folders, so disregard the 'alternate' option above. That said, there is a 'number of files' discrepancy in the assets folder that I'm still trying to figure out. Perhaps things added later? Very possibly as my instructions were written to be applied as a tail end part of the install process, so doing it to a modified install may not work.

That was the second real plane I flew (after a Mooney 231). Fun story, too: I was a new hire at Compute! Magazine around 1990, just out of college. SubLogic came down to show us Flight Assignment: ATP and some of the company's other upcoming products. They flew down in the company's Cessna 310, and I got to go up for a flight around Greensboro, NC and take the controls for all of it except for takeoff and landing. Definitely taught me I was going to enjoy the journalism gig. (And that I needed to learn how to maintain a steady altitude.)

OK - here's the screenshots I promised. Taken in clear conditions at Oceana NAS. My screenshots look darker than what I see in the sim, it's weird. But anyway, they adequately show the difference. E shot shows bright white, with bluish tinge, as I believe you intended. This is the one I'd consider "correct". F shot shows a yellow engine disk and an outline of the effect, but none of the white/blue flame.
