    I think they'll be there. Most are waiting for a complete SDK to fully understand what it's going to be like. It's very different than FSX/P3D. I don't talk about Flight Replicas sales, but as I'm still happy developing after 16 years, that must say something.

    Paint is a WIP - you forget how long these flights take in a DC-4, 6.45 hours and totally in the weather all the way. Rex 3D does the weather well. Ready for start, and taxying out, rain and broken at 1200ft overcast above all the way to 10,000 The rest was like this:

    Looking at the PC-12 in MCX, I probably won't be able to add a working Copilots side set of instruments. Also most of the gauges are the old format that are not FSX and up compatible. This one may take some work. I've got the Executive version exterior model converted and I'll be starting on the VC later. When done I'll have all three models in one folder with the appropriate textures. So a combi, Ambulance and Executive all in a single aircraft folder. This one is showing it's age a bit. I made this in 2003...

    It's purely economies of scale. Legal stuff 1. This is my opinion. 2. I am not singling out one person or product or company. ( Crikey it's getting bad when you need to start every post like that ). Mil topics dont sell as well ( numbers wise ) as GA/Tubeliners, This is a fact. In the current simulator space it's almost 3 : 1 . However. Xbox is coming. Some rumours are it's about 3 -4 months on from the pc release. the reason why this is a good thing from a Military aficionado is most console users I know ( I am one ) are "I have a spare hour and I want to take up a spitfire and fly around like a lunatic for a while ". Now for the hardcore this is sacrilege. This is the sweet cherry on top though.

    I think BFU kinda petered out. Particularly after AVSIM changed a bunch of the forum stuff. Ok now I need to find the PC 12 model somewhere.... Boy... THAT is a blast from the past. I did that model for FS 2002

    Hi, I've slowly been working my way thru the process of converting models from older sims to P3D. One general question relates to rudder movement. There must be some difference in the aircraft.cfg file beween FS9 and P3D that I haven't sussed out yet because I seem to be seeing an issue with a number of conversions (but not all of them) where the rudder deflects fine when the aircraft is on the ground and not moving but once the aircraft is in flight the amount of deflection displayed drops to just a few degrees. The aircraft seems to behave as if there is full rudder deflection but it is like the air passing over the rudder is preventing the movement. Has anyone seen this & figured out the fix? The second is specific to Rick Pipers Chipmunk. Try as I might I can't get the gauges...

    This what VRS have said on their Forum : "Honestly we are so far away from FS2020 at this point, I canít even speculate on it. For example all the avionics need to be rewritten in probably HTML5. If MS gets near a release of 2020 this year, and we were to switch gears and move that way rather than focusing on P3D, weíd add a year to the Rhino release easily. We just canít afford to do that. Long term, yes, it would be nice to be able to focus on the superior platform that 2020 will no doubt be, but practically speaking the P3D market canít just be replaced due to things like commercial sales, which are a big piece of the pie. AFAIK, MS licensing still precludes the use of 2020 for commercial ops, meaning all of our existing and future commercial sales will still require support for...

    Feel your pain Ted, only with FSDS. Just on the odd occasion something upsets it, and it falls over. I have the Autosave function enabled, which creates a save every 10 mins. Happens in the background automatically, so if I get a crash, I go and activate the autosave version, so at most I've only lost max 10 mins worth of work (still bloody annoying though!). Is there an autosave function in Gmax 1.2? Yes like you, I also save when I get to major stages, save a copy, and go on from there with another copy. That last comment, had you tried to put a keyframe in Gmax for an aileron, and that caused the crash? Cheers

    I was working on the Short Stirling (really nearly ready) just fixing a few issues John found and a few small items, and 2 hours of work. Shut Gmax down. go back and Gmax says corrupted file (ha ha you lost 2 hours of work....). This rarely happens but when it does it pisses me off. Good thing that I learned years ago to have several versions of the files (save as often) so that at most you lose just a few hours of work. Still it sucks....:banghead: You know no key frame for the ailerons....stupid game!

    I had considered the X56 back in the day, but I had read numerous not so good things about it. Lack of durability, poor construction quality, spiking, etc. Have they come out with a new one since then?
